I took this lady I've been seeing to a pool party and noticed she hadn't shaved her underarms, I was still very attracted to her and it didn't bug me. Am I weird?
No, it's normal that adult women grow hair under their arms. And it's also normal to be attracted to that, even though it isn't conforming to today's beauty standards. It's still a sign of adulthood. A century ago, most women didn't shave their underarms. So it's a relatively recent thing.
I like it as well, though it's a very rare sight. I've tried to convince my girlfriend to grow it out some time, but she doesn't want it. 2 weeks without shaving there was the longest I've seen, and her hair grows quite slow, so it wasn't much, not even 1/4 inch in length.

She believes that her laziness is more important than being feminine & by going along with it/her you are lowering yourself to also being a lazy person because it's easier to be non-confrontational.
If she's not lazy and she's doing it on purpose in a culture where it isn't normal then it is a symbol of her contempt for being feminine. On some level she wants to show that she doesn't care about traditional differences between masculinity and femininity. That might not sound like a big deal to you but, check out my mytakes for the traditional reasons why it is.

@Mewzinc no, putting her into it would imply that the woman doesn't go there on her own.
Asker+1 yWould it help if you knew she was French?

@Asker If it was normal in the culture she grew up in & spent most of her life in & she now lives in a different culture where it's considered abnormal, then she may not intentionally be trying to send a message but she's socially retarded. If she's socially retarded in one area she probably is in others. Then it's a question of whether you want to become her mental health therapist or not.
2.1K opinions shared on Dating topic. Nah it shouldn't bother people anyways if a woman doesn't shave her armpits. It's normal to be attracted to a grown woman that's been through puberty and now has hair there

+1 yNo, you're normal.
Shaving is something relatively recent to the female beauty standard. It isn't something strictly necessary and many attractive women don't shave - whether out of statement or preference.
I personally choose to shave because I stink fast if I leave it.
I don't shave my legs or arms often, tho. Usually only when the fancy strikes me.21 Reply- +1 y
People have been removing body hair for a lot longer than you think. The earliest records of body hair removal come from the Mediterranean and Orient from 4000 to 3000 B. C., when women mixed arsenic sulphide, quicklime, starch and water into a paste-like depilatory.

+1 yFor almost the entirety of human history, until some advertising executive needed a bump in razor sales to get a pay raise, women didn't shave... anything. Somehow they still found men to marry them and have children with them. Your own preferences are the only thing that matters in your relationship, not the marketing strategies of early 20th century blade manufacturers.

Dying of pneumonia is natural too. Going to the hospital is not. That's a low litmus test to determine quality. Cyanide and arsenic are also "natural."

+1 yHairy armpits are masculine, there's no way around that.
Yes, it's natural for women to grow hair on their body, but it's also natural to shit on the ground and have bad breath. Just because it's natural, doesn't mean they should do it.

+1 yits not weird, women have armpit hair, thats a fact, same as men, nothing weird about it but shaming social norms
53 Reply- +1 y
It is a social norm, and it's the society you live in. If you don't like it, go be an aborigine
- +1 y
Social norms are not laws and they constantly change, if youd ever been with a woman youd know we actually dont always shave and its normal
- +1 y
Ok cutie. You're right
I find armpits very attractive when done right. Marilyn had them perfect…

+1 yIt's a red flag because it means she is likely a woke feminist, and those women are not relationship material. Recreational use only.

+1 yI don't get the fascination with not shaving armpits. It's unhygienic. I shave mine in order that sweat doesn't build up on the hair.

+1 yI don't care. She's exceptional and comfortable like that. So why would I not mind. It's her underarms 🙂
10 Replyyou don't mind that's nice, I've had hairy pits
20 ReplyI don't see the big deal. A woman with hairy underarms can still maintain good hygiene. Doesn't mean she's dirty.

+1 yTechnically it's weird to shave your underarms. Women just do it because it makes them more attractive to men. Also societal norms, yada yada.
