Why is it so hard to meet people?

I go to events and stuff and talk to people who have common interests but every time its always we never talk again after. I’d like to meet people I can become friends with too because I think the best relationships form from people I’m already friends with.

People always say go out and meet people but it just seems like a complete waste of time. Yes you do meet people but what’s the point if you never see them again? Is it just me?

Every journey starts with one small step & friendships can start that way too. I always say if you want to meet people you have to get out & greet people & like a game of golf sometimes you just can’t putt. As for me when I’m out & about I usually do my own thing & for some reason people tend to flock toward me & other times it’s like people are in their own world & glued to their phones & don’t want to be bothered.

This morning I ran in a race & I had a costume on that was perfect for the event & people were flocking toward me to take their picture with me left & right.

As for you step out of your comfort zone & try different things. Sign up for a race, go on a nature walk or if you are into photography like I am go on an adventure.

In life if you never try you will never know.

Yeah I mean I do try but nothing comes out of it so I’m like whats the point? It seems like a waste of time to continue doing this

Because most people don't realize that a relationship (romantic or otherwise) is like a living thing: it needs care, attention, and time. They tend to think that these things just happen, and that they don't require maintenance or effort on their part.

When you're a kid, it's easier, since school and residential proximity mean you'll interact with nearby people with great frequency. As an adult, there's far less that you have to do, and you have far more ability to get out of (or around) it, so it's less of a binding factor.

The most reliable way I've found to form lasting connections is to find people (individually or as a group) that you do something with; hiking or bowling or board games or going to the mall to people-watch, or whatever. It adds a pull, if not a compulsion, and makes it more likely you'll stick together.

Yeah if anything dating in high school was way easier and natural than as an adult. Maybe because you’re forced to go there every day whereas even work nowadays you don’t have to go in every day and people move around so much
