My sister is tall, and has mostly dated guys shorter than her. in my opinion, she is less likely to be hung up on the height thing because she is taller than most guys, and has probably, at some point, been teased about her height. Don't make an issue where there isn't one. Just ask her out.

There is no law against it. You have nothing to lose. Honestly, you'll later on think it was weird not to ask her out because you'll be left wondering what if. If she's into you and is flattered by you asking her out and says yes, well and good. If she says no, accept it without disrespecting her and you can live and move on with that satisfaction that you made the effort and tried.

I don’t know any who care about height. I know some pretty tall girls who are much more interested in going out and being with guys who are enjoyable to be with. Height really isn’t the issue some on the internet make it out to be. Just ask her out.
