At what age should you stop pursuing relationships?

Ok so I’m 31 I just came out of my first relationship that failed horribly I’m also autistic. I have Asperger’s syndrome which impairs my social skills so I don’t have any friends and also I can’t just approach women.

Never. My aunt remmaried at age 70 and is living happily with her third husband. Never give up on love.

I don't know enough about managing autism/Asperger's to really give advice on that though. Are there support groups/guides/therapists that could help you work on developing your social skills? Regardless, you clearly are high functioning enough to get into a relationship in the first place (though I won't comment on that any more since I know nothing about it). Have a little confidence.

I personally feel that I’ve decided at my age now, 34, that I’m not dating or sleeping with anyone that I wouldn’t be proud to introduce to family and friends or that I don’t really feel that into. If someone comes along, great. If they don’t, great. I’m going to just attend aspie social groups I’ve found out about with my aspie friends and hope for the best.

I had relationships from age 16 through my 30s. I didn't get married until I was 42 and have been happily married now for almost 26 years.

It's never too late. I know people who got remarried in their 70s.

Your age is not the issue. You need someone to help you learn how to talk to women.

Pursue relationships your whole life. But if you don’t have friends then start there. Leave romantic pursuits for the future.
