When I was 16 and a half and I was able to get my learner's permit I mean I was there waiting at the door there are some people that just don't have a desire to drive or is there scared and several different ways I would date a girl yes they didn't have a driver's license I would also trying to figure out why she didn't want to have a driver's license and if I could help her learn how to drive I would do that because it is fun and you can get to point a and point b a lot faster than a bus or depending on anybody or bicycle but yeah I would

+1 yNope. Sorry. Basic life skill. You can't bring enough to the table to overcome that because there aren't enough unique things you have/do/whatever that one of your driving peers doesn't do as well. I've dated one woman that couldn't drive because she was from NYC, but I taught her how the first weekend after she left the city.

Asker+1 yFair enough. Right now, I’m avoiding dating anyone.

Not really…I found someone still and they don’t mind I don’t drive and I’m almost 25
+1 yI’m almost 25 with no license but I still found my man. Driving shouldn’t dictate your value, it should be your goals, heart, self worth, and your overall energy.

Don’t listen to the haters asker… if some men are this picky that’s exactly why they’re single and get heartbroken or cheated on because they want superficial women and it costs them in the end.

+1 yI'm fine with it, there's many modes of transportation. I bicycle everywhere because of my ptsd and because my motorcycle is broke down. Electric bicycles have gotten better and there are many different kinds, plus it is fuel efficient. Not sure where you live, but where i live and scooter that is 50cc, doesn't require an operation license. Its honestly not a problem, it's just a matter of if you have any modes of transportation.

+1 yWhat does being able to drive have to do with me dating a woman? Ofc i'll date a woman who doesn't knows how to drive, i can teach her and if she doesn't like it so be it, i'm not searching for chauffeurs 😂😂

+1 ySo far, that's all I've ever had! None of them could drive, they were all fat and they were all married at the time. If you're a fat married girl that can't drive, I'm your guy!!
00 Reply 8.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. Yes, it would not even be an issue. I would even offer to teach her how to drive.

+1 yDo you live in NYC or some other large shithole city?
Asker+1 yNo. I live in a small town.
- +1 y
That is a red flag 🚩. I am genuinely curious: how do you function as a 30 year-old single adult in a small town if you can't drive?
Asker+1 yYou’re only saying this because we don’t like each other.
Asker+1 yWe’ve butted heads so many times that we don’t get along and we never will.
Asker+1 yAlso, I don’t get why you would care.
- +1 y
No even if you asked this anonymously I would seriously be asking: how do you function without a driver's license? In a place like NYC where there are taxis and subways I would get it but not a small town. Like how do you get to work, get groceries, etc?
Asker+1 yI don’t have to tell you anything 🤷♀️
Asker+1 yAnd again, why would you care? You’re not really that interested to hear what I have to say.
- +1 y
I am legitimately curious, that is all. How do you get around? Uber? Bicycle? Horse and buggy?
Asker+1 yI don’t trust you
- +1 y
Do you think I am going to go out of my way to use this information against you somehow? It's not worth my time. Or do you just have some guy in the friend-zone drive you around and you don't want me to judge you for it?
Asker+1 yActually, yes. I do believe you’ll do that. And if you think I’m using a guy to drive me around, then I can’t stop you from believing that.
Asker+1 yIf I told you no that wasn’t the case, you wouldn’t believe me anyway.
Asker+1 yYou’re not the only one who accuses me of being a whore who uses guys. And you certainly won’t be the last.
Asker+1 yAnd you’re not the only one who thinks I’m a bad person. I’ve been told that my whole entire life. If you want to view me as a bad person, then you got yourself one.
- +1 y
@DextroShade lmao you’re a joke. I’m almost 25 and don’t drive and I’m engaged so look who’s talking? Lots of people don’t drive and make it fine through life especially us women still…my grandma never drove and she was still perfectly healthy mentally and physically she just was scared of driving and didn’t care to learn but she lived to be 82 and had 10 kids. Good day sir good day🤣

@Paulalove98 this just further demonstrates that only women have the luxury of being incompetent and useless as a man who can't drive is a fucking loser bum if he isn't in a city with plentiful mass transit.
- +1 y
@DextroShade I honestly just think you’re judging though and you have no idea what someone is going through or facing in their lives. You do realize certain people have phobias of cars and roads, and certain people have medical conditions and can’t drive literally….
Asker+1 y@Paulalove98 Don’t bother with him. Surprisingly, he’s married. I don’t know how or why. But, we’ve butted heads many times and he just rants on how horrible women are. He even accused me of using a guy friend I supposedly friend zoned. It’s funny how he thinks he knows literally all women around the world 😂
- +1 y
@Paulalove98 being able to have a phobia of driving is a privilege that only women have; if a guy cannot drive and he isn't rich enough to have a chauffeur he is a fucking loser. Competence is optional for women but mandatory for men.
Asker+1 yOh my god, dude. Shut the fuck up already. I mean, come on. You’re fucking married to a wife who loves you and who puts up with your ass, what more do you want?
Asker+1 yOr unless you’re not as happy as you say you are and your wife is cheating on you with some other guy.
- +1 y
@DextroShade my fiancé doesn’t drive but he’s not a loser. Not all women judge men you know just like I realize not all men judge women. Maybe you’re seeing a lot of stuff on the media and that’s making you believe it’s the vast majority. There’s still good women out there with open minds who don’t care about material things or talents a guy has. I would rather have loyalty and respect any day than a guy who has material stuff or money but is a total jerk inside.
+1 ygirlfriend can drive. She chooses not to in certain circumstances.
00 ReplyA woman having or not having a drivers license doesn’t mean a thing to me. I could care less. A lot more important things to worry about.

Asker+1 yThat’s fair
Asker+1 yNot many people would do that.
Asker+1 yI would never expect my future partner to do that for me. I rather do it myself.
Asker+1 yI hope to God my future partner has this much patience for me. Because I’m avoiding dating like the plague at the moment.
Asker+1 yThing is those older women get a lot more respect than someone at my age.
Asker+1 yPeople have more understanding for them than they would do with someone at my age.
Asker+1 yOh, I see.
But, for myself, I see it as a red flag to any guy I may end up with. I rather focus on driving than find a boyfriend. Even it takes me awhile, that’s my strict rule: No dating until I get a car.
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yYes, unless he is looking for a driver

Asker+1 yHonestly, I think everyone should avoid those who don’t drive. It’s why I’m staying out of the dating world. I’m a bad person to date.
Opinion Owner+1 yPeople who have too many prerequisites never find success in dating/relationship... just like the people who underestimate themselves, even though they are much better than they think.. you know what I mean...
Asker+1 yI guess so
No I don’t think so.
