What makes you go into your first interracial relationship?

I’m Mexican American, and my first girlfriend was white. Even though we ended badly, I appreciated everything she did. She made me into a better man, and even helped me open up more. I was just a shy kid before her. And she changed my world. Before her, I’ve always liked Mexican girls. Like my first kiss was from a Mexican girl, and they were all I ever wanted. But after my first girlfriend, it changed my perspective that can find a girl I like in any race or ethnicity, as long as I keep an open outlook on life. Since then, I’ve dated countless women from different backgrounds. And so far I love Chinese women as I met a few who love me too. I think this world has a lot to offer in new experiences, it’s just how you make it. I’m also planning to go to Europe, and probably meet some girls there too.

My first girlfriend was my first interracial relationship but I just asked her out because she was nice, I wasn't even thinking of her race. So it was with other interracial relationships I've had.

I've always kept my options open, regardless of race. I'm currently in an interracial marriage. It wasn't a matter of taking a big leap out of my own race. It was just the simple fact that I've always found attractive qualities in many different men throughout my life.

Connection, same as any same race relationship. Honesty is a big factor with me. And the first black woman I dated was more honest than any white woman I'd dated to that point so I found that very attractive. I don't care how physically attractive you are if I don't feel I can trust you.
