Do people feel more comfortable with their own race of people?

As a South Asian girl (born and bred in London), I have noticed that majority of us tend to feel more close to our own kind of people

As in people of the same race communicate better with each other and feel more close...

Like I have noticed South Asians feel much more close to fellow South Asians... we cannot feel the same connections towards Whites or Blacks

Same with Blacks feeling close to other Blacks, Whites with Whites etc

It's like white people feel much more close to other white people,

Do you guy's ever feel like that?

I mean I may feel the same connection equally towards Asian and White males but I just can't with White women just with Asian women more 🤣

The only reason this would be so is when people commune together, such as families, they are going to feel comfortable around each other, and that will naturally flow into what people look for in a partner. Also, families tend to pressure their children to marry someone from a similar background because their own prejudices get mixed up, and they think they can only trust people who are like themselves.

When we can get outside of that, living in multi-cultural cities and have open-minded families who aren't going to feel fear if their children date outside their cultures/race, then I think there will be many more mixed couples.

We have a lot of work to do though. From what I see--every culture seems to be clutching on to things hoping to remain inclusive because there are always radicals that can't accept something different.

I myself am in an interracial marriage and I've been hit with it from my husband's side who has accused me of whitewashing their family. Rude, for one, and ridiculous, since we don't have children. I love my husband and we are so far into our marriage that I often forget we're interracial until I'm actually put in a position to talk about it. :D

I think it's more about personality then just the looks.
Surely, culture differences come between each other but I guess it is really more to do with close proximity. Like we South Asians live most of our life in Pakistan India or Bangladesh. So naturally, if we made this fantasy that someone outside our country is going to come here and become our friend 🤣, then I am sorry I am deluding myself and anyone else by agreeing to them.

A lot of my real life friends and cousins go abroad. All complaint about the difference but they don't come back and to make matters weirdly stupid, girls will go to Canada and Australia and go get blonde and start competing with natural blondes and whites. It is really just crazy

Oh by the way, I have a Turkish friend from Gag actually. She had a South Asian boyfriend and a Pakistani girl as friend. Guess what she was told by them 🤣. The Indian guy kept saying he loves her and finally when I told her why is she not married after 5 years relationship she said he is not ready. I had told her again and again to ask him to marriage instead of beating around the bush. Turned out he duped her.
The Pakistani friend told her to avoid Pakistani males because they are out to get into her pants 🤣. She avoided me so, I told her what's wrong and finally I came to know that she poisoned her mind.
Well, it takes two to tango, so it was her fault too.
And then my German friend got in touch with 3 Pakistani girls who were oppressed according to him and I told him to cut the BS. She is not interested in you just want to reach Germany. And he kept saying no she is lovely and her parents are the reason she can't be with him. This was a wholesome for me as I knew exactly what games she was playing with him. Finally the oppression ended when she went from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia to Germany to Canada and leaving him behind.
Long story short. Whites are better off with white people and blacks with black people and Yellow with yellow and Stick to your community before someone breaks your heart.
No one really likes to hear it but global village is just a scam. People of different communities can be neighbors but not relatives. That distinction will be there and it's actually quite good of supremacists to maintain it

Oh I just read the update. The problem why you can't get to be friends with white females is due to them being competition to you. İf you are dating a white male your are probably going to get a lot of eyes turned from them because you just reduced their chances of marriage and relationship. But with South Asians since you are similar to you won't face same type of competition.

Most do maybe. But then you have me... I don't think I've ever really fit in with most my own race. I'm black. And I tend to "act too white" based on what many other black people have said to me.

@prettybiychh - I notice that even though I might not always get along with certain white people due to racism, that I still feel more comfortable around white people for the most part. Especially because I wasn't raised in black culture.

Did you ever experience bullying in school? And if so, who more by? For me it was my fellow black people. The environment was more hostile.

Yeah def a culture thing for sure. And since like attracts like, a color pattern will inevitably start to show.

Yeah, I really don't want to say much because I'm not prepared to go very deep. 🤣 And with these topics, there are so many compounding factors involved in making a person or people group behave a certain way. Too many! I begin to lose interest in finding out why. I just wish people noticed the flaws in certain behaviors. And how they can be more destructive than constructive.
