17 (*) and I was a senior in high school. She had just turned 16 and was a junior in high school.
We had been friends for two years prior.
Our first date, so to speak, was Thursday 20 NOV 1980 and I took her to the Vanderbilt Planetarium in Centerport NY. That evening, we saw a laser show which was a common fun thing to do 40+ years ago (and they still have them!)
But, we weren't officially a couple, but, since I was tutoring her in physics (at her request - she was taking it and I was taking AP Physics), we hung out a lot at her house. She didn't need much tutoring... So, one night, her parents were gone and we were in her basement playing ping pong. She went upstairs to get a couple of oranges and brought them down for us to eat. After eating, I wanted to thank her so I leaned in to kiss her cheek and the next thing I know, this girl's tongue is in my mouth! So, we made out and when she stopped to get her breath, I could see she was all flustered - her chest would get red. She said "It's about time, Vin!"
So, at that point, we were officially a couple. I guess we were, but I just didn't know it. I wasn't very bold - she was my first girlfriend but I was not her first boyfriend. I was just an innocent Catholic boy. God bless Jewish girls! She did dump me in the Spring but we went to my prom. We should have gotten back together after that (I graduated 2 days later), but didn't because I had getting ready for going away to college on my brain. After I went to college, we became a couple again that Fall after my grandmother died in October 1981. Things had changed in me and I realized I was in love with her - this was a completely new feeling. Sadly, I was her "goy toy" and she was fickle and dumped me (again!) on 01 JAN 1982. I was broken-hearted and messed up until AUG 1984. A month later, I got my second girlfriend... when I was a senior in college.
Now, it was when I was a bit broken-hearted over the second girlfriend in 1987 (and I had dumped her in NOV 1986!), that I reached out to the first girlfriend who, after 5 years, when I finally asked why she dumped me, she said "Vin, I was fickle." 5 years of burden of not knowing what I did wrong and being devastated were lifted from my soul.
(*) Now, I want to be clear. I wrote 17 earlier because that's how old I was when that first (unofficial) date occurred but I'd be 18 in about 6 or 7 weeks. However, that kiss in the basement which made it official... That may have been after I turned 18.

Really , what I consider a proper girlfriend , not schoolyard BS and just after , I was 19 , and we went out for 4 years.
At 17/ 18 , I went to this non alcoholic disco ( now youd say niteclub ) plenty who likes me there , i used to get all these messages and stuff , but I had no idea in reality ( hindsight ) what to do , so for the most part , unless they literally threw themselves at me , I just carried on alone , socialising , I really had no idea then how to even talk to a girl , lol lol. If I could have that time again !
I believe I was 27 but it really depends on how you define "Boyfriend". There were some that only lasted a few weeks. There were some that I considered (and they as well) considered me as their FRIEND only, and that lasted many some years until I told myself that I deserved to not be friend zoned and to be thought of as more than just a buddy! I wanted to be married and have children so... I felt I was settling for something I didn't want truly. But they were nice friends really. But yeah. Some were obviously just fuck buddies or one night stands and they were really not what I wanted either because they just wanted to use me for sex and I didn't want that. I felt I deserved more.
I haven't had a partner yet. I'm not counting the virtual one I'm in because most would say it doesn't count. So, no RL partner to make it even more specific than it needs to be.

Right after I turned 15
Never did. Saw her, gave my consent, family proposed to her family, she and her family accepted, got engaged, spoke on phone every day, met 2-3 times, got married after about 6 months, and THEN started our life together. Still together after 25+ years.

17 when i had a boyfriend who lasted more than a week or two. my boyfriend now has been 8 mos.
We all have different definitions of boyfriend./girlfriend when we were young teens. There is no normal. I kinda had a girlfriend at 15... we did not fool around sexually except for feeling each other up and kissing. I did not even get my first handjob till I was 17 but it was wonderful!
13. She was 16. She asked me out I had a certain charisma
I was 17 when my true love I thought was a teacher from a different school. She was 27. She thought me everything I know.
21 when I settled with a girl my age at 23. She loved me so much it almost freaked me out. Any girl that spoke to me was in deep waters, a real psycho. I used to love it but apparently it wasn't a good thing.
Oh I'm still with the Psycho.13 years old. After him, then I was 16 and we stayed together for 3 years.
Besides the dumb "boyfriends" I had in elementary (I call them kindergarten boyfriends and don't even consider them as real relationships lol), I was in muddle school and we dated for the whole span of middle school. The whole 3 years. Now that I look back on it, it doesn't make me cringe, but kind of how you would feel when seeing somebody do something dumb, but know they have to do it in order to learn.
16. She was really pretty and hit on me at first. We soon started going steady. Come to find out, she was 14 and had been in one, short-lived relationship before we met.
12. But 13 for my First Love for 3 Years. xxoo
I was around your age. I worked as a lifeguard/swim instructor at a beach for the summer and I fell in love with my coworker.
Had one of the best summers I can remember.
Technically 14 but we lasted 2 months and barely held hands. I would say the summer after I turned 18, was when I started having a real boyfriend who liked me more than superficially.
Never had one. It’s not that I’m unattractive it’s just finding the right girl for me is hard.
But. When you’re ready you’ll be ready. Don’t feel pressured. Being shy is ok. But you need to talk to someone. Being nervous is the thrillI was 16 and i asked out a girl at subway, she accepted and we went bowling that weekend and on the way home she said that i was too nice and not her type. I haven't gotten another date since and its been at least 2 years.
Never have a boyfriend. But 22 when I first started f—king. 😝😝
11/12 years old was my grade school girlfriend. It was very innocent.
I was 17 by the time I went on my first official date.
31 which would be this year. I'm a late late bloomer lol
