I think having hook ups in this day and age might be a bit frightening, and the prevalence of STDs and other unwanted consequences are even greater now than when I was single in my early 20s.

On the contrary, try living with aids in the 80's and now. You can take a pill and u dont get hiv, take a different pill and u dont give others hiv. Been infected with hiv in the last 72 hours? Couple pills can kill it. What are other unwanted consequences?

@jojoiwiwbwjo no need to argue. The mental toll of not having long lasting relationships would be a concern for me personally. Going from one person to the next is not appealing to me.
However you choose to view promiscuity is up to you.

I respond to this saying its not as dangerous.

You proceed to say it's not about the danger but the promiscuity. I don't see promiscuity taking a toll on a long lasting relationship. People nowadays are way more resolved and in tune with their nature than 1 or 2 generations ago.

@jojoiwiwbwjo i'm not interested in debating my thoughts and how I feel about hook ups and promiscuity and STDs. You can make your choices and I will make mine. Hook ups have never been part of my lifestyle, and they certainly aren't going to be.
