That really depends on how much he was gone. Personally I want someone that is going to be around and not gone for extended periods of time. I get the feeling that is what being a truck driver brings... long periods of being away. So prob not a good fit for me. It has nothing to do with the career. That doesn't bother me at all. Now if he was local and home most of the week then yeah not a problem. I think the long haul guys will have a harder time with relationships.
