How annoyed can you get if you're dealing with petty males like this one?

Question

There was this boy who was mercilessly bullied by a group of girls and boys in highschool. I will call him the fake name Joe. The bully group has 15 members.

I was part of that group who bullied him and the one who led the bullying is the real bully. I will call the real bully the fake name Susan. Susan is the most popular person in the group. She was athletic and very popular in highschool.

Then after Susan, Joe, and I finished highschool, we went on our own paths. When I was 24 years old, I met up with Joe. He was an engineer while Susan and I were nurses.

The problem is that Joe, being stupid, still hasn't forgiven me for what I did to him in highschool. I told him that I just joined the bullying in order to be popular and that it wasn't personal. I told him that that's what Susan wanted me to do to him. Still, he hates me to this day. He is so petty.

But the crazy thing is that this dumb boy Joe rejected me to be his wife but LITERALLY chose Susan over me as his wife. He forgave the sociopath Susan but not me. Crazy! The thing about Susan is that she is no longer a bully. She is now a mature good girl. Still, why the fuck did he chose Susan over me even though she was the main bully who really hated him and was the worst bully towards him while I just joined the bullying to be popular? Deep down during highschool, I was the decent good person while Susan is the real sociopath. She was a full-blooded monster.

He's so dumb. His "reasoning" why he prefers Susan over me is because he thinks that she is brave, confident, determined, and assertive while I am not. She is very protective of him. Also, he likes Susan because she cooks for him. She can cook. She also takes care of him especially when he is sick. He also likes her because she's a virgin and he always looks down on me for being promiscuous. Very misogynistic of him.

Joe wants a momma wife which is childish. Also, why is he so petty? Why does he still hold a grudge against me? That was highschool.

It could be because Joe saw Susan as a more honest and genuine person while he saw you as nothing but a sneaky untrustworthy person who really doesn't have the guts to do scary things on her own and often loves to pretend as something else which is probably the reason why he doesn't trust you but trust Susan.

Think about it. You said that Susan was the real bully in your bully group while you and the other members of the group are just followers who wanted to be popular. Susan wasn't being a bully to be popular. She was doing it because that was who she really was while you were just being a bully in order to be popular.

As for Joe saying that Susan was courageous, determined, confident, and assertive, he's probably right. Again, you said that within your bully group, Susan was the only real bully while you and the other members of the group are just followers taking orders from Susan to torment Joe.

A fact about real bullying is that the majority of the schools which are the normal "good decent" people often join the real bullies in tormenting social outcasts. There are the real bullies (the category Susan was part of) which are the sociopaths and then there are the bully minions (the category you yourself were part of) which are the normal "decent good" people supporting the real bullies (the sociopaths) against the social outcasts. Susan was a puppeteer and you were one of her puppets.

Compared to the bully minions and the normal "good decent" people who are sycophant boot-licking conformists that are not assertive, confident, determined, or courageous, the real bullies (the sociopaths) are typically assertive, courageous, determined, and confident which is why normal "decent good" people do not have the courage or confidence to be the instigators of bullying while the real bullies (the sociopaths) have the courage to start the bullying. To be honest, almost everyone in the whole world is actually a bully inside. It's just that normal "decent good" people don't have the guts to start the bullying while the real bullies (the sociopaths) do. Normal "decent good" people need the real bullies (the sociopaths) to lead them in bullying others. Courage, assertiveness, determination, and confidence are personality qualities that make individuals into strong leaders and charming manipulators and are also personalities that make real bullies (the sociopaths) to stand up against authority while bully minions do not stand up against authority on their own. Courage, assertiveness, confidence, and determination is also what causes the real bullies (the sociopaths) to become charming confident manipulators capable of turning everyone in school against bullying victims.

I am not glorifying real bullies (the sociopaths) but it is indeed true that they are assertive, courageous, determined, and confident compared to normal "ordinary good" people. The idea of bullies being cowardly people picking on the weak is just bullshit fantasy.

So yeah, Joe likes Susan and not you because he sees you as a fake good person while he sees Susan as a genuine good person. You told him that Susan is the real monster while you were just joining the bullying in order to be popular but Joe saw through your eyes. He just saw you as nothing but a timid sycophant boot-licking conformist who is not really a good person. He thinks that you are only a "good" person because you do not have the guts to do the malicious deeds (such as the bullying you did against him) that Susan did on your own while Susan has the guts to be a malicious person on her own.

As for Susan changing into a good person, that's who she really is. She wasn't a conformist boot-licking conformist like you so Susan changing from bully to good girl is genuine and true in the eyes of Joe while Joe can't even trust you if you're really a good person or not because to him, you're probably just the same sycophant boot-licking conformist bully minion who doesn't have the guts to be a bully on your own.

I think Joe indeed truly thought that Susan is superior to you not just as a wife but also as a person. Think about it. Susan back then was courageous, assertive, confident, and determined but she was a bully. But now, she is a good person so the only things that are left there is a courageous, determined, assertive, confident good girl who often has Joe's back while Joe thinks you can't do the same for him.

Also, there is an idea that most real bullies (the sociopaths) became bullies because they were abused at home by their parents but you yourself, the bully minion, are not a real bully (a sociopath). You were just a normal "good decent" person. So you yourself were not abused at home or bullied to become a bully. You have no reason to be a bully. The reason Susan became a monster in highschool is probably because she was abused at home by her parents and after she revealed that to Joe, he probably felt sympathy towards her and understood her pain during highschool while Joe just saw you as a trash opportunistic scum who has no reason to be an angry asshole.
