Do I sound bitter about being annoyed by men and their cockiness?

Question

Okay so I would like to say that it depends on the guy. We can say not all men are conceited BUT almost every guy I’ve spoken to, talks highly about themselves. Family, friends every relationship you can think of, I’ve encountered these guys. My gamer friend is so conceited it irritates me I just try not to stroke his ego any more. He always talks about women hitting on him, how he excels in things and rarely ever talks negatively about himself. He always has to be right and something about a man and this personality trait makes me want to jump off a ledge. Sometimes I want a relationship but knowing that the man will likely show these tendencies makes me just think it’s better off to be alone, I would probably call quits real quick lol

I'm glad to know girls like you exist.

Most guys act like that because so many people (guys and girls) say that it the only way to be attractive to women.

I have a lot of really good things to say about myself but I really don't enjoy bragging or being cocky so I don't do it much. Makes it really hard to find a girlfriend... But I'd rather be alone than be with a girl who is only attracted to dick waving.

I want a girl who is fed up with that shit and loves me for being different.

It’s not all men for sure. At the end of the day, you choose who and what type of people you associate with. The one’s with egos make themselves known more so than those without. People who have big egos are not genuine and very insecure, and for me personally it’s very easy to spot (like within a couple days of knowing them). Most guys I’ve associated myself with, average guys, have confidence but don’t think very highly about themselves (just realistic), even though I may consider them to be perfectly adequate or amazing people.

Everyone should speak highly about themselves. Everyone should do the same about their family and friends and even coworkers.

Do you expect people to be down on themselves?

As for people believing they are being hit on all the time. Do you have any female friends, because every time I would go out with them, invariably one would think that every guy in the world is hitting on her, just because they were nice to her.

Yuck. You’d be doing yourself a favor by distancing yourself from “friends” like him, especially if their tendencies bother you, I’d rather game alone bc I stand stand people so big-headed. I truly hope his personality isn’t setting the tone for what you can expect from men, because there are so much more better guys out there.

You made me think, with this question. I seem to relate well, with women, and they all seem to trust, and love me, like a "Gay Friend" but I'm not Gay!! LOL!!
Maybe it is because I listen to them, and they can trust that I won't tell anyone else?
All I do, really, is listen, and hold their hands, well, sometimes they cry, and hug me, but OK.
I don't really DO anything special, but I just listen, and hear them, and they trust me, and I'm like a Big Brother, maybe?

When you've been trashed on by your family and people in general you will start to "rationalize" and convince youself regularly you are not that bad.
It may be true but it's almost an ilness.
I believe I have that so the easiest thing I can do is just never talk about me.
In order to find balance, not look like a narcissic or something.

Here's the thing. No one enjoys cocky people, but women are sexually attracted to them because it's just an extension of the confidence women find so sexy in men. Women don't "like" cocky men but those men make women's panties wet.

And the truth is, it is women's fault than men are cocky. Throughout human history women have had more sex with cocky men than with normal or insecure men, so women have unwittingly caused the proliferation of the "cocky gene".

well that's your first mistake you got involved with a fucking pc nerd gamer. your second mistake was being with a guy who has an ego and since this guy is both a fucking pc nerd gamer and has an ego that's a lose lose combination a very bad combination. so no wonder you're depressed and sick of him that's the first smart thing you've done. the second smart thing you should do is dump his ass and find a real man if you're into guys that is or unless you're into chicks which is perfectly ok too

No I personally can't stand guys that act this way. I find most of these type of men/boys are jocks and are very annoying to be around. They think they are God's gift to the world and of course they are never wrong either.
