Would any older women in there late 30s to mid50s date a guy in his 20s?

Definitely not. It's mostly because of the experience difference. We wouldn't have many common topics to talk about.

I'm 46. It's still more or less 20 years of difference. My son is 28, so I think I would give up, anyway :D

@pickles77, and what difference it makes? If I'm not into a guy, what he feels doesn't really matter. Unrequited love is, unfortunately, a fact, and we have to live with it.

Sometimes that’s the case and it just has to be accepted but what if you really got to know him and he was attractive, you love each other’s company, he has great chemistry with you, was mature, has his life together and you were just perfect for each other. Would it be enough to overcome the age gap or at least consider?

@pickles77 But I wouldn't know him better because it doesn't make any sense to me. We would lack common topics to talk about because of the huge experience gap. Relationship is not only about liking someone. It's about being with someone. This means we talk, remember, and compare experiences. What shared experiences, or at least similar, can I have with a guy 20 years younger? He was a toddler when I was in the most painful time of my life. When I was observing the democratic transition in my and other countries, he wasn't even born.

He might not have been there but he could share the same values that you do and be of the same mind regarding things of today. Even being able to compare the past with the present it could open up to a philosophical and thought provoking conversation. And there could also be a focus on the future and building a lifestyle that you share together like exploring new places, goals to help each other achieve, unique dates to go on, taking classes, learning new skills, reading books together. maby we can’t share the past but we could create new memories and share the future
