Trending & News Generally not in my case. I'm probably an oddball. I find women in their early 20s physically attractive but the age gap tends to reveal itself too much when we start talking to each other.
I'm not necessarily saying I'm more mature and she's less. It could even be the other way around. It's more like our interests and life experiences are too far apart. "Who's Billie Eilish? What's an friends with benefits?" 😅
The one exception to me if I was hypothetically single is maybe if she's both fairly mature for her age and digs a lot of the same older culture stuff I do, like if there's some unusual woman in her early 20s who's very mature and likes 80s music.
Another thing is that she'd have to challenge and maybe even tease me. A problem I've found sometimes talking to younger flirty girls even when I was single is that they seem to agree with everything I say and compliment me too much. "You're so wise!" even if I said something pretty dumb. I don't like that. I like women who can help me grow as a person; we grow together. I can't grow if she just looks up to me and fangirls over me.
Same thing for most women, no? You wouldn't want some young guy who just agrees with everything you say and compliments you non-stop and acts as though or downright says things like, "I like whatever you like." For a start, we can't get an impression of authenticity from such a person.
That's a general problem I've had at least with almost all my experiences talking to much younger women in person. Most of all, I develop deep attraction beyond the shallow through engaging conversations. The most engaging conversations to me often involve disagreements (albeit friendly and civil). That's when we develop the deepest mutual understanding, and it's through that deep mutual understanding that I develop the deepest attraction.
Seldom. She'd have to be really mature and have her shite together. You want to go out and be a party girl every weekend at the clubs, we have way too different priorities in life. I've dated women 12-15 years younger than me and it was fine because they had a good head on their shoulders, so I'm not going to say impossible, just, unlikely.
Yes, I have dated someone close to 50, at 26. 2-3 years don’t make difference, I was just taken before 26.
Yes, why not. Agre differences don't matter if you are happy with them.

Having done a little bit of that, I can tell you most men that age would happily date a woman in her early 20s.
Yes, but there is an increased possibility that he only wants a sexual relationship.
Yea sure, it well known that men tend to prefer young women over ones who hit the wall.

Keziah you're really a broken record with this. Just ask the dude out. Worst he can say is no.
Most guys in thier 40's know a successful longterm relationship with a woman in her 20's is unlikely. Even if you have guitar playing in common. What else are you likely to have in common. So it's kind of a coin flip he's interested. But even if he is odds he'll figure it's not going anywhere.
But there's exceptions to every rule. Best of luck to ya.
Absolutely. I'm not 40, I'm 34, but I'm looking to date women in their early 20s. To all the women saying that the guy is weird: men always prefer dating younger women, period. Breaking it down to basic human nature and evolution, the most value a woman can give to a man is her fertility which is correlated to her youth. That's why men, fundamentally, prefer younger women just a women would prefer a man with status and resources.
I would be open to it but would not approach first. It might even make up for my youth when girls faked interest in me with the help of their friends for their own amusement, which is a big part of why I’ve always been single and often think I’m probably better off that way. I don’t have much in common with peeps from any particular age group anyway.
Yes, but the big question should be would a woman in her early 20s be interested in dating a paunchy middle aged guy with an ex wife and 2 ex kids to support and and a drab middle management job.
I think a lot would be, but you should ask yourself the reasons why. Many of them will just use her for sex and play with her mind.
I am in my mid 40's and have been approached by women that age but I could never taken them seriously. I think out of many there was only one that seemed mature but even that was probably just a front ha. I prefer women my age or older. Some of them are fine. I remember one I liked seemed worried because she was older though.
-no decent man would be interested in that. pretty sketchy
why sketchy?
@rebeliouse when the person can be near enough the age of a DAUGHTER, you HAVE to wonder why they can't go for their own similar age. WHY are they going after the dumber, more naïve demographic?
Why, because they're dumber and move naïve then the elder women, and those elder women aren't putting up with the old man's shit.
My 25-yr-old niece has been dating a 45-yr-old man for several years now.
If he's immature or not looking for anything serious.
Yes im 27 but my coworkers constantly tell me i look 15 especially if i shave my mustache. Men don't seem to show age as much as women.
It's a fantasy for many. If you are interested in an older man, ask him out. He probably won't ask you because of the age difference.
Dating? Lord no. Having sex with? Certainly.
Men prefer women of that age range, regardless of what anyone says.
decent rule of thumb: don't date anyone less than half your age + 7 years
I'm assuming it would just be a physical attraction! I can't see anything else coming from this but you never know?😁
Yeah, but many try not to, due to social discrimination, because of the age gap.
No one likes being looked at and treated like a pedo.
No doubt that most men woul date a girl in that range. I have dated girls in late teens to early 60’s and always have a great time.
I'm 70 and would date a 20-year-old if she had big boobs. (Remember I look 40.)
do u like older men? whats oldest you hooked up with?
I’m doubting it would be for romantic interest…
Is the Pope Catholic?
I have Seen It In My own Family. xxoo
did you ask him out yet...
I’m just surprised you even had to ask
Why not? I would.
I believe so, I know so.
Of course why not
Yes in my opinion
