+1 yI've seen it... especially in Japan with those cougar chicks chicken hawking the crap out of fresh 20 year olds on their first deployment. They're horny... they look good... they're not sitting there thinking "well, my 35 year old fiance is going to look like what when I turn 35?" That's being 35 and you're stuck to a 50 year old woman that starts looking like a man. I'm fucking 40 and wouldn't go near that shit.
Look, you'll be able to pull him... I've seen it a million times. But once you have orangutang titties and can't get off the couch without help and he's a straight stud that can do more pushups in one sitting than you've ever done in your life... how is that going to play out in the long term?

+1 yWhy does your profile say you are 22? Personally (no offense) I never felt attracted to older woman. I did briefly date a woman a year older than men but she was unacceptably flaky.
However my HS best friend has always dated older woman. Two 15 years his senior. Not sure why he is like that but to each his own. He wasn’t looking for sugar mamas either. Both woman while independent weren’t rich. They were hard working middle class.
So it depends on the guy.01 Reply- +1 y
Interesting, thanks for sharing. I've been told I look 21-22 - it's probably because of the regular olive oil intake in my diet, haha.
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yWell, myself and a man in his early 20s plan to marry but I would generally not advise this pairing. But, yes it does happen. Sexually, men in their 20s are very interested in women in their late 30s. If she is looking for a serious commitment it is unlikely. Unless there is some monetary or socially beneficial reason.
In my case, I imagine he was looking for some fun or bragging rights and I dismissed him due to it. But in the end it was just a really strong connection. It was too hard to live without each other. But this really isn't usually the case.

Thank you, he's in his late 20's - practically 30 and I look 21... or so I've been told. I had the same impressions/assumptions, but you never know - I've heard stories of it working out on very rare instances... and am getting back into the dating pool. But after reading these posts, I'm thinking of not continuing talking to these younger men (who look my age/older)... all I want is meaningful relationship with someone with common interests... I dont want to be a kink - ty for your opinion and I hope all works out well for you!
620 opinions shared on Relationships topic. Depends but why would a woman that age settle for a man in his 20s still? I personally think any woman that’s older that thinks a man in his 20s is desirable to date is naive and desperate

A man that has his crap all the way together enough to the point where they can properly retire in so on years. I’m in the age range of what upper 20s men usually go for / have dated such and I promise usually none of them have their crap together unless if they have parents money

@kylee2437 you got a point. but if he has got a good carreer prospect the relationship would have a higher probability for being successful. the lady should make a wise choice then.

@kylee2437 Dr. David Buss (scientist in the field of evolutionary psychology) has a great book about this; what are the reasons women choose their partner? and yes, in general, women choose their partner.

@_Aragorn _ great input, I believe at some point money becomes less important than the value someone can add to your life - common goals/activity and companionship-wise... ty, men are hitting me up knowing my age and corporate type of career - so I really wanted to get to "why" and whether it's a conquest thing or not, something serious? I don't know anymore, but this helps
- +1 y
@cdimples99 if you are a woman in your late 30s , you become a kink to a man in his late 20s. I’m not saying that it’s not possible where a man won’t date someone in that age range, but a woman that age is starting to head into the zone of barely being able to bear kids
- +1 y
Ty!! I appreciate your honesty - funny how far some people will go to test the waters, I'll disregard my convos w/those men/their gestures as nothing more than a facade... I certainly dont want to be a kink

@kylee2437 Great discussion. :) i like it. I would like to show you the list in the book I mentioned before. Do you want to discuss this topic?
- +1 y
@cdimples99 Well, choosing a mate seems to be a quite complex task. Women tended to choose their partners on the basis of 'having the necessary resources' and 'the willingness to commit these resources to them and their children'. So greedy potential partners are not liked so much. What I can do is make a topic on this one and show you a list of reasons why women will choose their partners.

@_Aragorn - great idea, that would be awesome! can't wait to read and learn more :).

my older brother married a woman who is ten years older than him and had 3 children before meeting him.

thanks Wade - I appreciate the perspective... it's a curious thing especially in cases where the woman actually looks 20 instead of 30, thanks!

+1 yYep. Attraction is not based on age (not referring to under legal age), and some guys prefer older women for one reason or another

You know it's funny - I've heard of 2 cases where the age gap was 10 to 20 years. Interesting to read all these responses, ty for sharing.

+1 yA normal man would be into casual sex or a casual relationship even... not leading to marriage or kids or serious commitments.
A simp beta cuck whatever you want to call it, a man with few options absolutely would be interested in marriage and not care about the age difference.
00 Reply My buddy recently got married to a woman he met on Match. He is 30, she is 39. I imagine that there are other men out there who would be willing to give something like that a try.

Why are they getting married?
- +1 y
thanks FilmGuy93 - dating is frustrating and it's odd for me because I am running into younger men and way older men, plus I look really young - all this information helps a lot though, so ty! I imagine there's a great connection between your friend and his older wife, she probably looks young like me.
- +1 y
I feel that I should be honest with you; the woman's family doesn't seem at all thrilled with the marriage and neither do the couple's close friends. I never met the woman before the wedding, so I don't have any vibe about the marriage one way or the other, but no one close to it seems to understand the appeal.
My friend's family is happy, but they're kind of... socially inept people. I don't know the woman at all, but the wedding was a rather awkward and uncomfortable situation.

+1 yI can see it… but you have less to give then a young 20 yr old. Less time, less kids, less energy, less beauty… all subjective but men want the best they can get just like women.

+1 yNo. he's only seeing her as desperate meat. As soon as a pretty 20s something girl comes along, the 30 year old will be left behind and heart broken.
00 Reply 1.4K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Wait wait wait, you're in your late 30s but put your birth year as being 16 or so years younger? Was that intentional or did you really screw that up that badly? Why can't people put their actual ages on this site? It's mindblowing.
+1 yThe chances are pretty low. Most men prefer same age or younger when it comes to serious relationships.

+1 yIf they want kids probably not. If they want someone without baggage that gets less likely with age.

+1 yAbsolutely they would. The only thing depending on what they what personally is whether they want children. That can become a big factor otherwise I see no issue

10 Reply 988 opinions shared on Relationships topic. Sure why not, no reason to rule it out your basically same age.
00 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Sure, 10 years isn't much of a difference as you get older.

+1 yWhy not? Age is a silly little barrier to happiness people throw out there. On average, women live eight years longer than men, anyway.

I see, well, shoot, I guess for a woman dating in her 30's the more reasonable pool would be men 40 and up -- but they'll likely be divorced with kids.

@cdimples99 don't worry about him. If a younger dude comes to you treat them like any other. Yiu establish your boundaries and communicate what you will and won't tolerate and you will filter out those who are not suited to you. After some rockies with my current relationship I took your attitude and said no more youngins. Well, the men my age with similar baggage to mine were more messed up than the young guys. Played so many games and they were not sincere.
- +1 y
@DermalPunch thank you so much, I will take your advice, but maybe after some time - after a long break. Actually, after hearing all this honest feedback, I may just quit dating, period.
- +1 y
@cdimples99 I think dating sucks and I am only "in a relationship" because outside things are holding up the marriage. I too look about 10 years younger than my age so if men peg me at 28-30, then I will obviously attract 20 year olds who don't mind dating up 4 or 5 years. The disturbing bit is when minor shop boys, and neighbours start giving my the eye to let me know their sweet on me because they want to practice on an older woman I guess. I mean like 16-19. That's a turn off.
- +1 y
@DermalPunch ty for your input, you have no idea how helpful your experience has been in giving me better perspective
Opinion Owner+1 yEarlier on this married manual labor workman made an interesting comment. He said 'when you marry, ignore looks and go for personality because when those looks fade fast, that's all you will be left with... their personality' He said that's what he did with his wife.
Of course, you can have both and with knowledge, looks fade much slower. I was approached by a 20 year old who thought I was 21 and I'm mid 40's. But his point is still a good one. He said men marry a good looking woman that has a bad personality and it fades leaving just a bad personality...
However, I believe one of the main reasons why people cannot find a suitable partner is because they do not do it through God...- +1 y
Opinion Owner+1 yYes, but God needs to know you want His help due to free will. There are many blessing avaliable to us, but some either don't know about them, or don't ask for them so miss them. Therefore a prayer specifically acknowledging and making clear you wish for God to help is key. But also having faith and belief you will receive what you asked for is also important. I know a woman that prayed to God but didn't truly believe.. but she got everything she asked for down to the last detail... but her list was not detailed enough because she didn't really believe it would happen!
This is where godly discernment also comes in. With this, who / what a person is will be even clearer.
A friend of mine is currently leaving a 7 year relationship and when she looked back to the first day she met the guy, she realized he could not say 'God' or 'Jesus' and did not have God in his life. Who was his foundation?
