How much money do you spend on yourself preparing for a first date?

This is an interesting question in terms of the women's responses. Since I've also heard women argue that the amount of money they spend getting ready for dates should offset the amount of money the men have to spend buying them dinner and drinks. Clearly this argument is only made when it's convenient to do so. It has nothing to do with truth.

Preparing myself generally nothing, I have my wardrobe etc. On the date I spend anywhere from $50 to $100 on drinks. It it's 50 we had one or two drinks, closer to $100 we probably had a good time that ended up at one of our places.

I do not recall however, I do spend to dress nicely when my partner and I have date night. It’s just nice to restike up flames after looking like a troll for weeks.

i don't really spend any money i have everything i need to get ready

I already have a suit, too many ties and enough jewellery for both of us

I guess consumables so like a double scotch probably runs £5 out of my collection or more if I'm at a bar
I guess another dose of cologne must run 30p to £1

Nothing as I normally use things I already have, though if I know the person already and I'm very interested I may go shopping to find some clothing and I may spend a lot of time getting ready.
