Guys, How would you respond?

I need some clarity from a guy I've been seeing so i need advice. How would you respond if you a girl messaged you this? *we have been seeing each other for about 4/5 months.

"I'm a little confused on what you want from me. I don't want to get into a talk about feelings but i just need to know where we stand" or "I like you but I just need a little more then what you are giving right now".

In my case, I learned early on that I can be bad at communicating my emotions and sometimes I assume people will make the same jumps of logic I do while thinking. To cope with this I am very used to explaining and summarizing where I stand.

So for me, this is ideal. I would simply respond and outline where we do stand in my head. Ask for your view. Follow up with where we are headed, and call it there.

I don't think my response is the norm. The norm, to me, is still that most guys would consider it a completely fair question. The risk is that they will try to appease you rather than share their view. But absolutely just ask, if it backfires you were being lead on anyway.

first thing I would need if I received that is information. you made a statement. with zero context. we have been seeing each other for about 5 months. what has happened? are we close? are we intimate? are things going well and we are just trying to clarify what we are?

Well I like the 2nd one better. It's to the point. And I have NO PROBLEM on her telling me what she needs from me. Worst case scenario, I tell her I can't comply. I can't give her what she needs. But if I can you can be damn sure I will do my damndest.
