I also did that with my first boyfriend. Thankfully I dig his personality, we stayed together for 6 years. Everyone kept saying that I could do better and sometimes it did get to me but then I remember how awesome he is and how well he treated me. I didn’t really find him attractive, he was okay looking to me but I looked past that.

Start asking out girls that are out of your perceived league. Most parents picking up their kids from school or walking around grocery stores are average looking not super models. You don't need to be super attractive to find love. Go after whoever makes your heart race because that's what you deserve.
