I always dated women who could support themselves. I wouldn't want someone who was looking for a guy to support her. That would mean that she was more interested in my money than me. No girlfriend ever asked me for anything, although I did pay for dates and vacations.

My wife was ambitious and self sufficient all her life. Our combined incomes came in very handy once we were married and bought a house. We are both on Social Security now and I receive a pension from my job. And she still works part time, self employed, at her career.

It really doesn't matter to me. I make my own money. And I take care of myself and I make enough money that I can take care of my woman too. So I don't care if she works or not. As long as she treats me with respect

She doesn't have to have a job, but she has to make some income (preferably enough to support herself), contribute more in other ways, and give people space when they need it.

I am too old for this now, of course, but if there were small children at home, I would hope for her to stay at home and take on the job of full-time mom. Otherwise, I think having a job and being productive is good for a person's mental health.

I would prefer it yes, if she had her own job, or career, or business...

it would be a very good sign that she is very much her own person and I do like that

now, if we were to marry and have children, raise a family... and she decided to take a time out before going back to work, or even... just dedicate to the family and her other interests, I would not be against that either... I could be the one providing financially too

Yes. I am not saying Yes to add financial stability, ofcourse that's very important.

However, when a person, whether a woman or a man, doesn't have a job , they spend all day doing nothing productive. This can cause depression, mental health issues and a lot of problems.

If she's not working, she would look at her friends who are and get frustrated. This frustration would be carried out in our relationship as well.

A job is very important for anyone.

If I make very good money and I don't mind sharing my money then it's her option if she desires to have her own career that she loves.

If I don't make very good money then she will obviously need to get a job and help out with the finances because things aren't easy anymore to own a house, plus cars etc.

Sure, as long as it isn't some job I don't like (lawyer, sex worker, flight attendant), it isn't too busy and it isn't her main priority in life.

When kids came I'd want her to stop while the kids are young and not in school yet.

Yes. People who don’t work tend to get bored and call you 200 times a day when you’re at work and then take all their frustrations out you. Work ethic is a must in my relationships unless she’s disabled

She just needs to be able to stand on her own in life without draining other peoples hard earned money. It can be a job, a business, a hustle, trading, whatever. So long its not sex work or scamming.

My wife has her own job. She stayed home for 11 years when my kids were little but went back to work after they went to school.
