So my now ex was always liking girls inappropriate pics on instagram, and it was mostly girls he knew and in his area. He even gave out his socials to women he met at bars..

I told him several times it hurts me and that it isn’t okay but he kept doing it.

You should have left when he didn't respect something that you told him hurt you. Now you messed up by playing his game and let him win.
