She was feeling insecure so I told her she was the prettiest woman I know, she said "Yeah right, am I prettier than your mom?". I said yes and she had a big smile on her face and her eyes lit up.

it's really weird for her to bring up your mother as a comparison. it's not weird to tell her she's prettier than your mom, i think, but it's the fact that she even mentioned it at all. that's your mother, not a random woman, so why?
