Hello,

I met someone through a dating app. I was with him at Christmas and he said that he liked me. But it was when we were very close together... After that it was very quiet for a week and he didn't write to me again.

Yesterday he asked what I was doing but I had a visit from an old school friend and he said he was glad I wasn't alone. I said it was just a school friend. Anyway, he wrote today that he want me for bad. I asked what he means. He told me, he want to do bad things to me. And that he is ready to rough me up.

Is he interested in a serious relationship?

He is 55+. He has work. And I guess he should be too old to play games.

How can I find out if he's serious? You can say a lot - what are the gestures?

I wonder if he is married? Seems just interested in sex , he is very direct and you’re much younger, if he was interested in a relationship he wouldn't bring up sex right away

I don't know how to find a man who is looking for a relationship and not just sex when he has time. It's so hard these days... I have no idea how and where to find an interesting man, even though I am explicitly only looking for a relationship in my profile

I hear you, but I think your best bet is staying off the dating apps. I’ve used them too in the past because I hear so many success stories, even been to two weddings, but if you’ve been trying and failing for a while then I’d say the apps aren’t for you. I met my boyfriend out at a bar, unintentionally, but to find someone I’d say go to where your hobbies are. Like if you enjoy pottery, take a class and mingle. That way if you meet someone then you already have something in common.
