Chasing is a feminine trait, and it is attributed to a lack of masculinity.

When a man chases a woman and makes his feelings known and apprent. It automatically puts the woman off, as she realises that he's too keen and easy.

Women like to be challenged. They want a nice guy who tells them what likes to hear but really wants him to be a bad boy who makes her worry and keeps her on her toes. The types of nice guy who is naturally submissive and less challenging I consider too nice.

I somewhat agree, at least in my experience with women, but I don't think we have to be a bad boy. If you're just mature and expect a mature woman, you don't have time to waste chasing women around and playing their games.

Also it's not gentlemanly to chase a woman. A courteous gentleman would err on the assumption that a woman is not interested if she is pulling away from him.
