Why is it so attractive when a woman has a genuine sense of humor?

Anybody likes a sense of humor and it calms people down.

But from my life observations it’s far more important that a man has a sense of humor vs a woman. This is one of the top 3 things woman look for in a man. It’s releases feel good brain chemicals and disarms women from their natural fear/insecurities around men. In fact they many of them (if not most) will choose a semi attractive man who is funny over a very attractive man who isn’t. Not true vice versa.

But feminism (and wokeness in general) has really killed humor in a lot of aspects. The only “safe” area a man can tell jokes is through a very narrow category that has be directly aligned with what’s deemed acceptable by modern feminists.

So this leaves lots of guys hesitant to take risks out of fear of “offending” someone. Especially if it’s jokes about sex and female gender stereotypes around women.

Also especially if he is “flirt” joking with a woman over sexual comments. That used to be an effective method for men to turn women on. Now it’s got #metoo risk to it if the man times it wrong or misreads a woman’s signals. Women used to be more forgiving about that but not any more.

So a lot of them men now resort to self derogatory jokes or making fun of other men in front of women. The former can be okay if used sparingly but if used too much it can come off as insecurity. The latter is okay every once in a blue moon but when it’s used all the time it’s real white knight bullshit.

Because any humorus person is usually more calm and relaxed to be around. Less drama, you know. It's a huge relief to be able to laugh at stuff and not be do uptight and serious about things.
And it's nice not to have to be so careful pf what you say yourself too, knowing we're both allowed to make mistakes and not be too judgy about it.
Besides, who don't like to laugh?

It makes her light hearted and easy going and she won't feel to me like a constant drainer (party pooper) and she won't be a fly off the handle easily type of easily upset/angry/pushy chick. No one likes a tough personality or a rough personality in a modern trendy world that I for one am a soft guy. I like therefore soft women personalities

Humor is the best ice breaker. It breaks down people's walls and makes them comfortable being who they are. If you can find a girl who effortlessly does that to you, she's a keeper
