Is it okay that my girlfriend has a dad who happens to be dating my mom?

My mom and I developed crushes around the same time, I asked out my crush and she said yes. Meanwhile, my mom had a crush on the lady's dad and he asked her out, which she said yes to. Both my mom and I's dates lately have gone great and we're both happy.

Man that would be such an insane situation if your mom actually ended up marrying your girlfriend's dad! Like that's some whole other level of awkward. On one hand I guess it would make family trips and holidays together really convenient. But dude think about how weird it would be having your mom as your sorta stepmom. And your girlfriend's dad as your kinda stepdad. You'd have to call them mom and dad! I don't think I could ever do that, it would mess with my head too much.

And can you imagine family fights and arguments? One little tiff with your girlfriend and suddenly your mom and her dad are fighting too. Your home life and romantic life would be all tangled together. Yikes.

I personally don't think I could seriously date a girl long term if our parents ended up married. It just feels like too much pressure and weirdness. Like you'd never get a second alone with your girlfriend without family all up in your business.

If things were just starting out with your girl now it'd be one thing. But if your mom and her dad got married, I think you'd have to end it eventually. Too much potential for drama. Yeah, that would make us step siblings, I talked to her about it and it doesn't bother her. It doesn't really bother me either, I was just wondering about the legality of it. I'd be willing to risk the potential drama.
