1.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. **Dibs** Wait... I don't even know what does that mean 😐

Asker+1 yIt's basically like throwing a form of entitlement to whatever you are calling dibs on, so no one else goes for whatever or whoever it may be.
Asker+1 yThat's what dibs is yes, usually dibs is only called when you were the first, so yep that sounds about right lol

Iโm also a girlโs girl, so Iโm just their hype women if I know they like someone and pursuing. But if we dig the same guy at the same time with eye candies and light interest, we usually just giggle about it cuz itโs amusing.

Asker+1 yI wouldn't flake my friends for an opportunity, next level loyalty I guess or thinking with the right head, maybe even both.
- +1 y
a truer friend steps aside if they know they have no chance... won't be playing kids games just to block your true chance... lol
Asker+1 yNaw a true friend respects the other persons attachment towards the person, there's plenty fish in the sea, that's some snake shit, kid games would be stomping on a friendship for a connection you can create with basically anyone else, expecting a man to step aside from chasing someone they want is like expecting a solider to put down their weapon on a battlefield, there's no such thing as no chance, just high and low chance.
- +1 y
attachment is for kids...
" I saw her first " just because you saw someone first, does not make you entitled to anything... that is not realistic at all, lol
at the end of the day it is HER decision Chico... that is the truth, so for your friends to get on your way that's being selfish and careless
friends give you way... not get on your way
Asker+1 yYour mindset is childish, "attachment is for kids" attachments aren't childish, they are a part of us, we were born with the ability to get attached to others, and someone trusting you to tell you that they have grown an attachment towards someone for you to take it from them is flake, it's a break in trust, a break in a bond with your friend and a break in your loyalty, without loyalty you lose your dignity and to throw all that away because you wanna get your peepee moist is a childish move, it's the true path of a snake and shows you lack the ability to think with your mind and if not careful it can not only lead to a persons downfall but it can lead to weakness as well, loyalty is a strength not everyone wields, it's why I perosnally refuse to associate with snakes.
- +1 y
well... I've actually been through this and I speak from experience
and after 20 years... we're still great friends... and the loyalty has never been questioned
and I am friends with both, him and her... so all of what you just said doesn't add up, but we're grown ups and been grown ups for a long while now too
Asker+1 yThat's cause you all want the same things, after all snakes get along, youd take the girl he likes just how he would do the same to you, just cause y'all have it in common doesn't change the disloyalty in the act, unless he isn't attached and lost attraction, that doesn't change. its not even about calling dibs, it's about the lack of expression on loyalty to back off from that specific person cause your friend is attached to the person, normally the biggest core to snakes is selfishness, stomping on everyone and anything in your path just to get what you desire is flake, it's not about being grown, disloyalty runs in all ages, the difference is that children wouldn't know any better unless it's taught, it adds up, not seeing it is something else.

when people want each other... I don't get on their way, that's true
that's called dignity
Asker+1 yYou only get in the way when you know you can steal her from him, that's not dignity.
- +1 y
I didn't steal anyone...
she was never his... he never had her... he just said "dibs"
again... feeling entitled to someone just because you liked her ass... is a childish thing to do
Asker+1 yNope directly targeting that person knowing a friend has an attachment is a desperate thing to do, it's not about entitlement, like I said, it's about the expression of loyalty, it's only something seen among loyal people to back off when you have the knowledge of a friend having a emotional attachment, you should volunteer to back off, not need someone to even call dibs for you to do so, it only shows you put women over friendships.
- +1 y
well... best of luck with the woman, when she finds out you would put a man before her...
Asker+1 yYou clearly aren't thinking right, I'm talking about women in general, like you said "a woman that isn't his" normally that's cause there's no bond, you are legit admitting you'd choose a random woman over your friends emotions, twisting my words won't change anything, supposedly from what you said is that if there's a bond you don't get in the way, at that point they have a connection which is only right for her to have importance to the guy, we aren't talking about that tho, we are talking about women that "aren't his" which no one should put a woman that isn't theirs over their friendship, which is exactly what you are indirectly admitting too, you are proving my point even further and that is that it shows lack of loyalty to your friendship.
