Should a girl apologise for having bad breath when she hung out with a guy?

I went out with this guy for the first time and noticed I might have bad breath after I went back home. Should I apologize for it as he might not have a pleasant experience hanging out due to that?

Ay girl, don't stress too much over it. But yeah, might not hurt to send the guy a lighthearted apology text. Here's what I'd say:

"Hey, hope you made it home safe last night! Had a nice time chillin. Just wanted to say sorry if my breath wasn't too fresh towards the end there 🙈 Had a garlic-heavy dinner and I think it was hitting me lmao. Thanks for being cool about it tho! Let's do it again sometime."

Keep it casual and funny so he doesn't think you're beating yourself up over it. Guys can be understanding about that stuff, we all have off days. And mentioning wanting to hang again takes the awkwardness out of the apology.

If he likes you, some stale breath won't phase him. And showing you care enough to say sorry without making a big deal shows self-awareness on your part. Let me know what he says! Usually a silly text like that goes over well.

by the way one more question, I noticed that after we've went out he didn't initiate any convos nor showed any interest in making new plans to meet up again the next time, does that mean that he isn't interested in hanging out again? Or do I initiate the convo to ask him out since he's the one that asked me out previously (but doesn't it make me sound desperate if I ask him out again?)

Hmm I feel you, that is kinda weird that he didn't follow up at all after y'all hung out. Def sends a sus vibe for sure.

But I wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet either. Guys can be flakey as hell sometimes! And he may not realize you're over here sweatin it thinkin he hated your breath or whatever.

My advice - wait like a week or so. If you really liked him, then I say do a casual follow up text like "hey, was fun chillin with you the other day! We should grab coffee this weekend if you're free". Keep it light, no pressure.

That gives him a chance to reply in a lowkey way without making you seem desperate. Plus shows you're interested while also not begging for his attention, ya feel me? Ball's in his court then to make plans or flake out again.
