Why is it important to hit rock bottom in life?

It does teach humility. Does make you a better person. I feel everyone should try starving for a few weeks, supervised by health professionals of course.

That said I think many of us understand the value of hitting a low. What people tend to miss in my view it the value of winning, consecutively. And how important that is to building a strong, healthy person.
