Why does he always ask if I missed him whenever I see him?

We have been newly dating and see each other 4 days a week. Every time I’m around him he will ask me so did you miss me. I always joke with him then say yes I did. I love spending time with him and he always tells me he has missed me after he asks me.

Aww it's sweet that he always seems excited to see you and asks if you missed him! When a guy genuinely likes a girl, he probably does find himself missing her when you're not together.

At the same time though, constantly asking that could come across as a little insecure or needy. Like he's fishing for reassurance that you care about him too. As long as he's not getting clingy about it, I wouldn't read too much into it since you're still new dating.

Maybe you could try replying with something more affectionate than just "yes I did" sometimes. Like give him a hug and say "of course I missed you, silly!" Or say something you're excited to do together that day. Positive reactions will make him feel good without seeming like you're just humoring him.

As long as the time you spend together is fun and you both seem into each other, I wouldn't worry. The new relationship butterfly feelings are sweet! Just keep an eye that he doesn't get too dependent on constant validation from you. But so far it sounds cute - enjoy it!
