Aw man, yeah that's definitely a tricky situation you got goin on. I wouldn't stress too much about the official title yet though, guys can be super slow with stuff like that sometimes. As long as you're both having fun together that's what really matters, right?
But yeah, dudes definitely want to feel loved and appreciated too. Some things you could try that I think would work well - send him a random funny meme or video during the day just to make him laugh and smile. We always like it when a girl sends us something silly to look at. Compliment him on stuff he's actually good at as well, not just junk like "you're so cute." Guys don't usually get complimented much so we really remember the ones we do get.
Another big thing is listening when he talks about stuff he's interested in. Even if you don't totally care about whatever game or show or sport he's into, just letting him ramble about it for a bit and seeming engaged goes a long way. Oh and remembering little details he mentions is huge too, like a restaurant he said looked good or a movie he wants to see. It shows you were paying attention.
Quality time is important as well. Try doing fun activities you both enjoy, like going to the park, seeing a movie, going out to eat, or just hanging at one of your houses playing video games or watching Netflix together. Laughing and joking around is the best. Also, bringing his favorite snacks is a sure way to a guy's heart! We're always hungry so surprising him with chips, cookies, whatever he likes is an easy way to brighten his day.
I'd say just keep doing you - have fun together, be understanding, show you care in little ways each day. Hopefully he comes around soon and makes it official! But don't stress too much if he takes his time, as long as you're both happy that's what's most important. Let me know if any of those suggestions help at all!

He may even call u the best girlfriend ever if u do that and other , more serious things to make him feel loved. I know from experience lol. It depends on the guy and I don’t know yours. I show my boyfriend that I love him by cleaning his work places and making him coffee. When he is having a bad day I will go buy him dumplings or another food that he loves just to make it a little better. I’ll throw him random compliments too but honestly as stated by him I’m hit and miss with that cause I mix playful bullying into it lol (it makes him laugh). Just figure out what he likes and do that, the more time you spend together the more you’ll learn those things

All guys are different and your last guy kind of sounds like a cop out anyway and even sounds like a form of manipulation if you love yourself and you're happy in your relationship he's going to feel love just be honest with yourself be honest with him smile and positive thoughts be happy it will just shine right through there are certain things you can do but you already know that.
Put into him the way he makes you feel if the guy cannot feel your energy as you look at him and smile and talk to him with your eyes and he's not the right guy for you anyway
Well every guy is a little different just like girls. As weird as it sounds the 5 love languages is true to a degree figure out what his is and show love in that way. Some need to be touched, not necessary sexual more like cuddles, hugs or stuff, some like gifts and through your actions. Me I want to spend time with a girl and have her show her appreciation through words or actions.
Being clearly pleased to be with him and happy when you meet him goes a long way. Being appreciative of what he does for you - a lot of girls aren't.
Listening and being interested in his doings and interests. I joke that once a girl has established 1. you are single 2. your net asset backing 3. your income then she would rather just talk about herself. There is truth in this. Don't make it 20 questions but remember what he was going to do and ask how it went.

Just do things that let him know you are thinking of him. Of course he should do the same for you. Do not make someone a priority if you are only an option.
