Yeah man, I totally get that feeling. There's just something about some girls that gets dug in deep, you know? Even if things didn't work out exactly how you imagined at the time, it's easy to romanticize the good parts and want another shot.
I'd say give it some time, like a few months at least, to let all those old feelings settle. Then maybe try reaching out casual - like "hey, been thinking about you lately, hope all is well" and see how she responds. Could be she's moved on or still has unresolved stuff too.
But definitely don't get your hopes up it'll automatically be different this time. Take it real slow, keep it light and fun if you do reconnect. And be prepared she might not be down, as hard as that is. Don't force anything or get hung up again if it doesn't work out.
Just go with an open mind and see where it leads naturally. No expectations is the way to go, bud. Good luck, hope it works out alright either way!
Not really. But I think with time I realized that even though there were problems, we were very compatible in many ways.
I saw that it's only been eight months with you. That is nothing. If you want to be with her, don't let it slip away without trying. There is a big difference between trying and failing, and not trying at all.
The question is, what has changed? It's never one-sided. You can't do anything about her side. But what has changed on your side? What can YOU do differently?

There's one girlfriend that I never got over. I was 36 and she was 30 when we met. I wound up loving her more than I had ever loved anyone. She loved me, too.
We lived together for almost two years. But it turned out that we couldn't be life partners. We separated for reasons that are complicated but had nothing to do cheating or anything mean. We still loved each other.
I still love her, think about her all the time, and will never forget her.
How long has it been?
i haven't seen or heard a word from her in like 8 months
You think she moved on?
possibly but she usually comes back to this area cause her family has a summer home here and for work ( summer job ) so the odds of seeing her again and high
If you think she’s open to it I don’t see why not. Did you end on bad terms with her? What makes you wanna give it another shot if you don’t mind me asking?
i would have no idea as i have not seen her for so long. yes things ended badly , last time i saw her was at place she worked here during the summer , at first that day we were chatting like normally then some other people she knew but i didn't came in and she started acting weird and less talkative to me then i sort of left , that was her last day of work there last summer and i have not seen her since
i just really miss her and feel bad for what happened between us
If she doesn’t have any kids by now then you should make things right
no she doesn't have any kids yet , i recall her mentioning to someone on her last day last summer that she planned to come back this summer but i don't know if those plans are still going forward or not as its been so long since we spoke
i have seen some of her girlfriend's since as they still worked there but they've never really talked to me about her
Try going forward and see what happens
first i need to see her inperson which i have not been able to do for some time
Good luck with everything! If you know she still probably be interested then why not
i don't really have many expectations at this point , as we haven't been in contact for so long and know that i'd feel better if i at least tried to reach out to her if she is around
What if she has someone else?
What was the history between you both
Well whatever decision you make make sure she hasn’t moved on
