Guys, how do you feel when the girl you like gently tells you that your breath smells after the date was over?

I'll be embarrassed and tell her that she should have told me earlier. Then probably make a lame excuse as to why it smells to justify it. Usually though I always used to have gum, fresherments mint, breath spray with me... so hopefully no one felt like that.

why would she wait, four to eight hours... and then tell me about it by the end of the date, why not right away as she noticed...
