Is this for a first date or are you already dating exclusively?
What is normal? Doesn't she normally look pretty?

It depends on what we are doing on the date. Is it our for dinner or for a hike or picnic?

I have to say that I'm more impressed when it looks like she had been looking forward to the date, was excited, and wanted to make a good impression. She gave thought and spent some effort choosing an outfit, fixing her hair and maybe putting on a bit of makeup to look pretty.

Most women want to look pretty, even at work. But that doesn't mean that they have to be all glammed up. In fact, I'm not all that crazy about too much obvious makeup. I prefer cute, soft-looking, and feminine as opposed to someone who dresses like a tasteless harlot.

Be an accurate representation of who you are, but of course relevant to the setting. I do the same thing, i'd of course make sure I dress for the occasion but I wouldn't go out of my way to dress nicer than i'd realistically do.

The ultimate goal is to find someone who finds who you are special, if they think your making a fantastic effort while in reality you are just being yourself that ends up a mind blowing relationship for them.

I prefer women without make-up or bare minimum. Sadly though, almost all my dates throughout life wore make-up. Those rare ones who didn’t, I knew them and spontaneously showed up to their place and asked to go on a date. Luckily though most of the women I dated, wore bare minimum to accurately represent themselves. Handful of times I’ve dated women who wore so much makeup that I never returned for a second date.

You can go however you'd like, but just know that first impressions count and how you dress is usually reflects your personality. People will judge you based on you present yourself. It's human nature and it always will be.

I feel bad when girls put in a ton of effort for a chill date, but that's me, it's entirely up to them. If I specifically make a really upscale date, then it's fun to look very pretty and play big-shot for the night.

Oh this is a double standard. Society says girls have to get preety with make up, nice clothes, nice body.. etc.. but guys can just come in a full beard, take a quick shower put on decent shirt/pants and good.. me personally I would mind if a girl wore something casual like jeans and a t shirt
