How old were you when you had your first real date?

I was 16, a freshman in college, and came home for Thanksgiving. I asked one of my high school classmates - Connie - to go to a movie with me. She was one of the most beautiful girls in school but she was a band nerd (like me) and not pretentious at all.

I was 14 and we went to the movies. If that’s not real enough, I was 19 and spent about $300 today’s money at a nice dinner…. My grandmother scolded me as she said I wasn’t going to marry the girl… nut I did get laid.
