Dating apps/websites?

Been single for a while and looking to start dating again and I'm looking for a serious relationship and was curious what apps or websites people gravitate to more these days who are looking for the same, asking mostly because last time I did try online dating was 3.5 years ago or more because of my previous relationship and by what I've heard around what I tried in the past doesn't really work for serious relationships anymore not that it really did back then in the first place

I actually hear the same thing from most people. Those dating apps and sites don't work very well for meaningful relationships. I have never tried them but do have friends that have. The stories are mostly not great. Too many people just use them to try and hook up and not really invested in the relationship part of it. I guess they have been overrun by those types. Now that is not to say there aren't ANY people that are serious but the percentage is low. When you think of it that way... the odds of you finding a compatible match out of the few that are really searching for a relationship makes it a bad bet. I think you are better off going out and meeting people organically. Of all the successful relationships I see with my friends... all of them met in real life and not online.
