Why do men drunk call you?

We dated briefly 1.5 year ago, he was hot and the best kiss of my life but he was looking for something casual and I was looking for a relationship and we decided to go our own ways after 3 dates.

1 year later, he drunk calls me, what the hell, lol.

I almost forgot he even existed. So many things happened in my life.

something else I've observed more than once, is... a drunk guy that's about to drunk call an ex (or a girl that's not even "his") and then all other drunk guys around are like "haaa, that's dumb AF, DO IT!!!" because it is hilarious

but a girl that's drunk, and about to drunk call her ex or a guy that doesn't even care for her... then all drunk girls around are like "Noooooooo, that's dumb AF, stapppppppPPPPPP BRITANNY!!!"

Seeing as they were all drunk… I wouldn't put any stock in anything that he did or said at that time bc he possibly won’t remember it (or want to admit to remembering it). Possibly the friends nudged him into calling you, which is what it seems like based on your description… so not something he thought to initiate on his own.

I'm not a fan of drunks in general and the people who know me, know why, so just out of the blue one night, my ex and now just friend drunk dialed me from a party. I could literally hear everyone in the background having a good time, and he's like helllllooooooooooo! I asked him if he was okay, because it was also like 3am in the morning, but then he proceeded to giggle and start talking about how he missed me and wondered if I could come around, and how he wasn't really having a good time at the party. I entertained the call for a few more minutes before just hanging up in the middle of it. All I can say is whether true feelings or not, drunk people are uninhibited by the typical social graces that say don't dial your ex at 3am. They do. It's a stream of consciousness in the same way someone who has had medical drugs for a surgery and is coming off of them, will talk about and tell you everything on their mind which they might not do otherwise. Best to just forget it ever happened, they usually want to or will deny the things they said out of embarrassment. Now if they show up the next day wanting to talk things out...that's a whole different ball of wax!

Having done this myself I think I understand it well. Because it allows you to express things to her that you couldn't tell her sober. It kind of makes you feel free to express yourself because most guys don't normally feel that way. Makes it easier to talk about feelings.

I don’t know about him, but as for me, I only drunk text, or come close to drunk texting, women I miss or wish was my girlfriend. They are never women I just want to sleep with. I can’t speak for all men though. You know how you really like someone but you know you shouldn’t say anything for reasons? For example, what if she’s in a relationship, your friend likes her and found her first, she’s your boss, or you’re just embarrassed to admit it? Your judgement tells you you shouldn’t do it. Guess what happens to judgement when you’re drunk?
