Why does my girlfriend walk behind me?

So when we were friends she would walk next to me but ever since we started dating she has been walking behind me and if i slow down for her to catch up she slows down and i dont know why?

- Maybe she's shy now that you're dating and doesn't wanna like crowd your space or something. Girls can get self-conscious.

- It's possible she thinks walking behind makes her look cute or dainty. Like letting you lead the way is romantic or something.

- She might feel protective walking behind you so she can watch out for you. Making sure no other girls look at her guy haha.

- Could be trying to check you out without you knowing. Admiring the view from back there ya feel?

- Or it's some kind of test - like if you'll slow down and include her or just keep striding ahead.

Next time you're out together maybe ask her about it lightheartedly. Like "what's with the secret agent act behind me babe?" See what she says. Or just walk side by side and give her that cute smile. Show her she's gotta walk with you, not behind! Good luck bro.

She may be a little shy that some of your friends either don't or won't like her... maybe a little insecure. Let her know next time that she has nothing to worry about and your the one seeing her, not your friends. Might give her a little confidence boost next time.
