How do guys feel if your girlfriend comes from a richer background than you?

Do you feel happy because they don’t always ask for money from you since they have money to buy it or you feel insecure because she’s richer?

My ex was insecure about it. He kept bringing up how “easy” I had it and that I don’t know the value of what hard work truly is. I found it confusing bcs I worked hard to graduate early cum laude and landed a proper job while he had a 2.4 GPA in community college… The tables turned when my parents went broke bcs of COVID (their business took a major hit). I was still able to support myself bcs I had my own job so nothing really changed except that I didn’t have the soft plushy cushion that I could fall back into if I were to fail. But it was then that my boyfriend started seeming like he doesn’t resent me/my parents anymore…

Just because someone has more money doesn't mean they can support you or that their families money is her money. I come from a dirt poor family and my wife came from a family that wasn't wealthy but had enough money to vacation in other countries 3-4 times a year. She didn't get/ doesn't get any financial help from her family since she was an adult. It wouldn't bother me any if her family had given her money back when we were struggling.

Never felt that money is important to a masculine image as much as physical strength, I rather date a woman who is richer than a woman who is taller and more muscular.
