What's your opinion on girls who are opinionated and potty-mouthed?

A month or two ago I asked someone about what's so unattractive about me that I don't get approached? Then this person told me maybe because I'm all these and I should probably change if I want guys to approach me more. First of all, how tf would a stranger know I have these traits? Second of all, I find the statement to be very stereotypical and sexist. It's so 1800s, where girls must conform themselves to certain standards, act a certain way to attract "suitors" or some shit. I'm not a big fan of changing who I am for a man either. Im sad that I don't get approached, yes! But I am not that desperate to willingly change who I am just for the sake of getting liked.

Opinionated -- I'm with you. All individuals should be able to express themselves in a rational and complete manner. Having said this, some folks (male and female) are completely off their rockers and need at least to learn some manners when it comes to expressing themselves in a classy and logical manner (specifically for the purpose of being more respected and heard by others).

Potty-mouthed -- there's a time and place. If someone starts with me, I'll throw it right back at them, but generally I try not to overdo it bc I don't think it's classy.

In my case, I only use it in certain situations, I don't just use it loosely. For example, when I'm arguing with people or calling out people on their stupid, dumb behaviours or something like that. I think that's classy enough ( maybe?) but oh well people think otherwise 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I'm a very straightforward person. I cuss like a sailor and it's ubiquitous in the military but when I'm in my place of work I filter myself. Other than that I talk how I want when I'm not, if they can't handle it then whatever who cares?

The term "opinionated" is fairly ambiguous. Having strong opinions is natural and healthy. The important thing is how you choose to express them. No one, male or female, likes someone who is opinionated AND obnoxious, pushy or argumentative in how they express their opinions. And sometimes, people need to filter their "opinionatedness" in social situations in order to keep things from becoming unpleasant for everyone involved. It's a basic social skill. That's not "sexist", because it's true for everyone, regardless of their sex. This is an example of a woman playing the sexism card to try to deflect and make herself feel better about her social failures.

As for your potty mouth, that's very unappealing and unattractive to quality people. Is it "sexist" for a woman to prefer men who behave like gentleman? Nope, nor is it "sexist" for a man to prefer women who behave like ladies. That's just good upbringing. Many people these days hold themselves to a very low standard of behavior, and then play the victim when others judge them for it.

They wouldn't know that you are opinionated or cuss until they get to know you so it must be physical appearance that they aren't interested in. Or maybe you have friends that they don't like and that keeps them away.

You thinking it is sexist makes you unappealing in my opinion.

I think girls who are outspoken and opinionated are awesome. However, seems like it’s a turn off for a lot of guys if they see a girl who curses a lot - based on what my boyfriend and his friends are saying. It just makes you seem like “one of the guys”.

You asked your friend, "what's so unattractive about me that I don't get approached?" and you got an answer you didn't want to hear so now you are triggered and defensive. Maybe that is something else to add to the list of unattractive traits.

What triggered me is the fact that they said "I should change" not the fact that they pointed out the traits that i have.

Big turnoff. I'm all for everyone having their own opinion, but that can certainly be accomplished without being mouthy. I've known many girls like that and they were all one big headache.

Not really a fan, I don't mind someone that is expressive with their language at the right moment to hit a point home, but to just spout profanity off in every sentence just shows no class and it's not cool.

I don't go around throwing profanity. I only use it in certain situations that I see fits. But that's what they told me so I don't know
