It doesn't matter for me, although I do have more things in common with someone from my own ethnicity. Like language and things only people from the same background would know or understand. It's a plus but not as important as personal chemistry and connections so it depends on the latter and it's what I focus on.

I date according to the person’s heart and personality, plain and simple. While it’s a little easier to connect with someone from your cultural background (perhaps fewer conceptual gaps at the start of the relationship), it’s more important to be with someone who understands you, top to toe.

My main preference is my own. But if I connect well with someone, find them attractive, and see a future with them, then I’ll date whatever race/ethnicity of man. That being said lol, after high school, I mostly attracted men outside of my race 🤷‍♀️ but I definitely miss my own as i always feel something is lacking on the cultural/emotional end when i date outside of my race

I’m married so this is a rhetorical question for me, but over my lifetime I dated outside my race far more than within it. Not necessarily by intentional design but just that’s what I was attracted to and pursued. Having said that if I were single I would not have any strong preference for dating my own race more.
