How do you guys ask for a co-workers number?

We know each other for a while and she even agreed to go to lunch with me, but I am afraid she is to shy to go to lunch in the workplace, so I decided I'll take her out on the weekend so she won't be embarssed by the other workers. What is the best way to ask for her number? thanks everyone

See how the lunch date goes, if you enjoyed yourself and still want to continue pursuing her, tell her that. Example: "I really enjoyed getting lunch with you, if you enjoyed yourself too - could I ask for your number? I would really like to see you outside of work again."
Then, I'd just on a general note suggest that the two of you communicate to each other on casual grounds and agree that if it doesn't work out - you both agree to keep things amicable and peaceful at work.

But if you're set on doing it I'd say keep it simple and mature

Do it "as if your mom is watching" that way you won't end up pleading with HR about how it's a misunderstanding

Just ask if she's up to get lunch. If she is. Then say "good, it'd be easier to coordinate over text if you want" easy as pie

In any case, there is no point in asking for any girls number in your situation unless you have built up some level of attraction. Once that is done then simply inviting her out at the weekend and then taking her number at that time will suffice.

Ask her to go to lunch first, then you need her number to communicate with her, e. g., telling her where to meet you.
But be sure you want to do this with a co-worker.

You don't. Never date coworkers. It's too awkward for you when it doesn't work out, and it's too awkward for everyone else at work if it does work out.
