Girls, would you be open to date a guy in a wheelchair?

I'm a wheelchair user because I'm born without my legs. Dating has been extremely difficult as a lot of women find my disability to be a turn off

So... the important thing is that YOU be mentally prepared to date a GOOD woman without suddenly giving her shit about dating you.

Why am I saying this? There's a good friend of mine who has been dating her man for 9-10 years and he WON'T marry her because he continually gives her shit about running off to go find a guy with working legs. He says it to her just like that and lashes out at her... and doesn't want to deal with her parents... and has made her SO anxious that she's lost over 20lbs from pure stress and has turned all skin-and-bones.

So before you start messing with some girl to "test her commitment to you"... please PLEASE make sure that YOU are actually ready to meet and settle down with a nice young lady.

I don't date, never have and never will but suffice to say that if I was forced to date, then it would be a person with a good character, personality and intellect.

The physical appearance, 6 pack, looks, height above ground and all the other superficial external features are totally unimportant to me. Those all fade with time while a good character and personality remain usually a life long.

Those that reject you because of your physical disability are shallow people at best. They are focused on the shell and not on what is inside.

To me, it does not matter if a person is short and chubby or looks like the Hunchback of Notre Dame. As long as the 3 most features that I prioritize in a person are met, then it does not matter if that person is in a wheelchair or not.

Nah it wouldn't be an issue. A challenge? Maybe for some things. It is also a lot of extra work. But for the right person then that is not even worth thinking about. You might be the perfect guy despite the disability. I would never turn someone down that is a great match because of a flaw. I'll let you in on a secret. I have flaws too. They may not be as apparent but they are there. That's why only really shallow people wouldn't give you a chance. Those people are too caught up in superficial things. It isn't a turnoff but just a piece of who you. That doesn't drown out the good attributes that you might bring to the table. So I get what you're saying and understand it is tough but when the right girl comes around and appreciates you for who you are then it will all be worth it.

Honestly, some might be bothered but I won't really mind. I'm sure there are many out there who won't find your disability a turn off and would really like you for your personality or for you just being you! So I would be open to date a guy in a wheelchair.. why not.. :)
