Depends. One of the women I see pretty regularly at at my races is a double amputee (one above knee one below knee) and she's faster than I could ever realistically plan on being. We were on a return stretch one time from an out and back. Of course it was a 10k for me and a 15k for her... so there's that. She pulled up beside me and slowed on a hill (my strength) so I jokingly turned over my shoulder and said "race ya" and she promptly sprinted past me like I was stationary. In the last 150 meters she whooped me so bad if there was a photo finish I wouldn't even have been in the shot.

Now (other than other disqualifiers... she's barely old enough to drink), I'd have no issue dating her, because we can still be active together. If this hypothetical woman we're talking about can't be active... that's going to get awkward, because some things you really need a second person for, and having a regular activity partner is nice. Belaying, for instance. If NONE of that is happening, outside of me having an external activity partner, what's the solution there? I'm really asking, I haven't thought about it at length.

Also depends on if the nature of her injury means she's unable to enjoy sex or not. Friend of mine that got blown up in Iraq was in a wheelchair for a few years due to lack of use of her legs, but her genitals were quite functional, as she was very quick to point out. We went to dinner a few times when I was in the same state. The chair was never really an issue. It never progressed to anything intimate because I was about to leave again and we're good friends, but it had nothing to do with the chair. Plus I think one of us may have had our sights set on someone else at the time anyway... I don't know... it's been quite some time. If sex is out of the question, then how are we a dating as opposed to just hanging out with friends?

All this is assuming we're talking about a new person I met, not as in "my partner of 20 years is injured and now in a chair" sort of thing.
