Thoughts on texting?

Some use it as a convenient form of communication, some see it as the only form of communication. Some people see it as as very personal, some as very impersonal. Thought I'd see what other individuals thought of it?

for me, it is mostly convenient and efficient, as in work...

and keeping in touch with family, relatives, friends...

in some cases, with the closest of my friends and family... it is a very personal way too keep in touch, for example... some of my best friends are currently abroad so, since we cannot meet and keep in person that easily nor that much... we just communicate online

I also have some friendships going on online... people I never met in person, and those are very nice for me as well, personal of course

It has its purposes but shouldn’t be the MAIN mode of communication for long periods of time. It’s better for small chats/reminders/collab prompts. It not an appropriate means of communicating major details or turning points in a relationship, for example.

Personally I consider to be a complete waste of time, I much prefer direct communication with who I wish to talk to.

Useful for keeping up with people I might otherwise lose touch with, but annoying for longer/wordier conversations
