Question

It seems like many women are deciding to stay single and live alone with pets due to the lack of good male options. Studies show that women are happier single and tend to become depressed while dating or marrying men which is opposite for men. Do you feel happier alone? Why do you think we are sad with them?

MEN: telling women they will be alone and single with cats is not a threat statistically we are happier with those outcomes.

It seems to be that way , most females’ don’t value commitment like most men do, why I now prefer FWB’s with a girl first , over jumping onto a relationship with her , Most girls’ I have been in a relationship with , ended up becoming selfish and only caring about herself when things didn’t go her way , My wife that I thought I would spend the rest of my life with , decided to be selfish all of a sudden and ruined our marriage. I feel social media and the way this world is today contributed to that big time , because my wife was very loving and caring before she got addicted to Facebook etc. she started to become distant from me and started comparing me to other people , and started being rude and disrespectful to me , no longer wanted to be intimate or affectionate with me unless it was on her terms. My marriage turned one sided sadly to say. Most females have the grass is greener on the other side syndrome in them. Thinking they deserve better than what they already have in front of them. I didn’t marry my wife to be single , I thought I married my best friend and lover , we were inseparable for many of years until she turned on me , and we started butting heads. When I found out she was secretly flirting with a co worker I ended it with her and kicked her out , Eventually I started dating again and met some great girls’ that treated me like Gold , to find out they were liars and cheating on their husbands and boyfriends with me , I was blown away by how people are these days and I pretty much have walls protecting my heart now from selfish lying girls’ my trust for girls is sadly not the same , most girls’ I meet say they want love and commitment and a guy that is loyal to them but she forgot to say only if things go her way. No relationship will survive if both partners’ don’t Make each other their top priority no matter what , if there is a problem? You both fix it , sadly most girls’ just run to the next guy thinking he will save her. I am not saying guys’ don’t do this shit as well but most guys’ value commitment more than most girls’ do. Girls’ want money and Guys’ want sex. If a guy loses his job or gets laid off , he is all of a sudden a piece of shit in her eyes , if she loses her job? He has her back and supports her , she doesn’t do the same for him. Stupid me have my wife another chance and it was the worst mistake I ever made in my life. She is a fucking user. She turned on me again when I lost my job , So guys’ if you want a mental basket case user I will gladly send her your way , Good luck with that shit.

I don't know if they're happier. But today there is a lot of drama.

On our side as well, I lucked out. She was a baddie, I needed to say something or my week would be ruined. She actually welcomed my advances and things are good. But before that, I'd date and the women wanted sex right away and a relationship right away. I wouldn't know who the person is but am expected to say yes. To me that is crazy.

Then there is feminism. Those women who say they don't need men, tell men off, maybe even look down on men. False advertising to young women that just looking pretty is enough for a man.

Then there is LDR. Long distance relationships, the doubts that come from it. You don't know what the other person is doing. One always wants you to visit, but never comes to you. All that doubt because you are far from each other. Adds unneeded stress, misunderstandings perhaps.

Social media. Creates more doubt and suspicion when there might be none or there is. Your partner liking pictures that could suggest lusting for another, cheating. The feminism brainwashing people. The woman haters brainwashing people. Posting only happy things of a relationships. Only showing the good things, leading some to believe that it should always be happy times, one hundred percent. And if there is one mishap, no matter how small, people may call it quits. Scared of commitment.

People are already making a problem out of who should pay.

This is a lot of headache to weed through before you can get to a commitment. So when I look at all that, it's not just women. It's just too much stress to go through for a possible relationship. I could spend a year dating and see if I find someone with no guarantee or just stay single and focus on something I can enjoy, guaranteed. It's an easy decision.

I'm not sure how accurate this study is and I don't believe it to be true. I think there are some women who genuinely are happier being single though but that could be said about men as well. It's just on an individual basis. But it does kind of baffle me that so many people believe you need a relationship to be happy.

I've been single for a long while now and I don't forsee myself being in a relationship in the near future. At this point in my life I am very content and peaceful without a relationship. I'm not actively looking for anything either. And I'm still able to find happiness.

This entire premise is iffy at best.
You can't measure happiness. There's not meter or dip stick that can scientifically measure it.
I blame feminism for:
- telling men they are worthless
- telling women men are useless
- telling women to expect Greek gods even though they have nothing "goddess level" to offer them.

Your whole premise that the unmeasurable quality of men has dropped is not quantifiable, as today's men have merely adapted to the culture that hates them.

I think in a lot of different ways our world is changing and more people are becoming single and just having some friends on the side because of all the crap that's going on in the world sometimes it's not worth being in a relationship but to answer your question I don't know if that's true or not I don't even know if it's true for men

He personally I like being in a relationship because I like that bond that commitment that becoming one but never can tell what happens a good bond with a good friend is always welcome to and then just go from there

Never have believed in the stats or ideas that women are happier single. Real life shows otherwise. It is largely women who complain about being single, worry if they'll go through their whole life without a partner, worry about their "clock" ticking down, and are the ones making vlogs and TikToks about how unfair it is that no guys seem to want them.

I think women talk a lot of shit about being happier single in the hopes that it will manipulate guys or get at them in some way, by basically trying to sideways suggest that men are not good people and it's better not to be with them, and also as a very fake mask for the fact that they are quite unhappy about not having a partner or even finally being married as a woman.

I personally tend to be, yes. However I also remain optimistic that with the right partner I'll maintain that happiness.

Not everyone is designed to be in "forever" relationships, (e. g. Cameron Diaz refuses to do it). But others were born to be moms, wives, etc. etc. and are PERFECTLY HAPPY in those roles. I don't judge either one so long as the decision is clear and deliberate and they're living a happy life filled with joy, purpose and direction.

Women can do whatever they want to do. There is no “patriarchal” dictator who is saying they have to be married and/or have children. Women have more right and freedom in the modern western world then any time in human history.

With that said is being voluntarily lifelong single and/ or childless just to spite “patriarchy” really making you happy ladies? It's a common misconception that "studies" or "statistics" show women are happier alone. There are studies that show the opposite.   Family is a big part of people's lives. Having a family of your own can bring challenges, but a lot of genuine joy and happiness. It's no different for women.

Some people are happier being single because of the drama of being in a relationship, and some people are happier in a relationship because they just want to share their life with someone just as imperfect as they are.

I do have a problem though when people would choose to stay single but do get kids.
Because that means that the child will be growing in a single-parent home and that opens up a whole can-of-wurms of psychological issues later on for that child.

As a guy, I can say I am happy and single. I love having a bank account with money. You don't get to have that in a relationship. The system is set up to exploit the family guy and I just don't see what's so great about being used and exploited. Also one major issue that arises is taking advice from female friends rather than keeping your relationship private as they give unrealistic expectations. Women’s whole job is to have a family. We don’t need a society full of men and women who act as men. Single women will eliminate their DNA tree, so sad for their ancestors. Darwin will then eliminate these bad traits that make women want to be single but it will take some time… but less time than one would think as it will happen fairly rapidly in evolution terms.
