Why do women care more about height than face?

Beauty is subjective, so while you may not think those men are conventionally attractive it doesn’t mean the women that they date feel the same. I think you just already have a predisposition when it comes to short men getting the short end of the stick when it comes to dating.

True, yet you still have women who swear up and down that men like Marilyn Manson or Ewan Mitchell are the hot ones lol. I also think other things can come into play as well. Like I only addressed looks for the sake of the topic, but connecting in other fundamental aspects could contribute as well. Like if he’s short but he’s consistent, trustworthy, funny, caring, basically making up in the more important aspects of life. Looks fade over time.

I never really understood this. But it's sadly true. One of our ortho reps is a beautiful man who's genuine, sweet, funny and has a nice body but he's like 5'6" maybe 5'7" and my coworker was like he's definitely yummy then sighed and said "only if he was taller". I was actually taken aback because that was a complete deal breaker for her. It's just crazy to me. But to each their own I guess.

But a 5'4+ guy can also buff up and learn to fight. As long as he isn't he midget he can protect his woman. My BJJ instructor was 5'5 and could easily submit 6+ guys. We used to call him the giant slayer.

Yes but that’s the exception. You are asking about generalized thought and why girls prefer a taller guy and this is why. They want to appear shorter than him and rely on him to feel secure.

I never knew it was a thing until i read it in some novels or some videos which shows how cute tall boy and short girls look together. Anyways that's just for crushing not for actually being in a serious relationship. Like me for example my ex was 6'2 but i dumped him and now i am with a 5'6 guy also he is not the most handsome guy who proposed me. But yes if you ask me what i like i would say tall guy... but i love this short guy. So i guess it's just beauty standards.

I feel height is just one of the many factors women see in a man. Of course women would prefer tall over short but it's not always so straight forward. For example most women would prefer a 5'6 guy who is kind, funny and career driven over a 6'2 guy who is socially inept and unemployed. So it all boils down to what the person does with the cards he is dealt with.

height may be associated with strength and dominance, traits that could have been advantageous for protection and resource acquisition in ancestral environments.

So some women might want safety over handsome face.

I feel as long the guy is above 5'4, he can learn to fight. Most armed forces have their min height requirement at 5'4 and some of the strongest martial artists like Bruce Lee, Manny Pacquaio are 5'5-5'7 range. So yes rejecting a super short guy may make sense as he may not be able defend his women, but I don't see the point in rejecting guys just because he isn't 6+?

@Tuntus of all martial artists most are taller, you just give exceptions. and sure, those over 5"4 can learn to fight, but then they have to prove themselves able of being protective instead of a taller men, who just has to pass by.
You can't see the point in rejecting guys just bc he isn't 6'+ bc some girls will rely their whole life on that guy, and for her safety is important
