When a guy says you’re cool?

I’ve hung out with this guy a couple times and him and I are friends before anything else. His body language is positive and when I’m with him he’s always affectionate and comfortable around me. I don’t know how to interpret this because I overthink and I don’t want to get myself attached. As of right now he’s not dating anyone so I’m not sure if I should ask him am I someone that he’s going to mess with or pursue something with me?

A guy who is comfortable like you describe is often that way due to confidence gained by continuious attention from the opposite sex. It also sounds like this guy knows his attention is welcome, your difficulty is in determining if this is unique for you, or just this guy loves womens attention generally.

It is always possible you make him feel very comfortable in a unique and special way. Though I feel my first observation is the most probable.

Having said that, we don't control our feelings truly. Attempting to often just leads us into complete emotional confusion and makes any relationship we might enter into immediately messy (because its a bunch of logical reasoning versus feeling).

My advice is accept you find this person attractive, remain aware that his reasons for spending time with you won't become clear except though your friendship over time and the set of choices you both make regarding you as a possible pairing.

I'll give this tip, once a guy knows your interested; Your behaviour shows a distinct preference for him particularly (and nothing is done to give the impression that has changed) someone who loves you will go to lengths to find ways to reflect they are choosing you too (and that will be reflected in choices they make to preference you or to reflect to you honestly they have chosen you over other matters). Since this is true, once its clear you like him, he can show you if he's worth it by his wanting to reflect to you he's putting you first.

That said, its always complex when feelings of love or a crush is involved. Since those feelings distort truth to a degree, as we have such a vested interest. Take the risk and let him know your interested, romantically, then take everything slow. If he's really interested he will have no problem going whatever speed you set, though if his libdo is high, it might be a tricky one to distinguish that from him just looking for sex generally.

No easy answers, take a risk, just be sure you take the little risks of being hurt, not the big risk of getting trapped in a bad relationship.

Supposedly this guy wants to make to go camping with his friend and the fiancé and he invited me. Now I’m all for being friends with him which I told him. I just dont know if I’m someone he wants to keep around or just mess around and I wanted to know before the camping trip?

Well, he might not know himself. If your worried, better to ask if you can bring a friend (and pick someone you trust, who can look after herself); That way, you can just enjoy the break and see how your feel about stuff and get a sense of his reasons for inviting you.

He’s 31. I just want to figure it out because he invited me camping with one of his friend and fiancé so I’m just trying to get a sense of this before I go camping with him

So he's a smidge older and therefore possibly expressing the above + a touch of surprise that "for a younger woman" you're at his level, therefore "cool".

We only hung out a couple times the problem is when I text him to hang out he doesn’t answer and when he texts me to hang out I answer. I just want to know if I’m someone he’s messing around with or someone he wants to keep around because I don’t want to get hurt or this to be mixed feelings involved. Which I did approach that and he read it but didn’t answer

Don't text him. He's old enough to know to text you if he's interested. You go about your business and live your life to the fullest. If he doesn't reach out, It's his loss, ok?
