Hey!
I just recently met with a guy with whom I have a history of a brief, but a very fun and intense relationship earlier this year. I was solo traveling, he was a local, met through dating app and we instantly clicked, kissed on the second day, and he visited me, then we traveled together, were having sex all the time, he said he was obsessed and wanted a relationship... But there was a problem: we both were broken up with our exes 6 months ago, so we had little baggages. He had a difficult time, big expenses and financial struggles, so could not committ fully, especially the traveling part was hard because we then had to be on long distance (we are from different countries so I had to go back). But we kept in touch and talked 2-3 times a week until now. We agreed on friendship and it was hard for both of us, but we were good like this for 4 months. He tells me pretty much everything about his life, anyone else he got to meet, etc. still quite close.
We just met and even though at first he was hesitant, the meeting went really well. We did not kiss or something like this (before we met we agreed to be good friends), but he started to tell me how he could not make it with others, and he is also almost over his breakup (he told me I was never a rebound and he genuinely liked me). I am moving to his country for studies next month and he suggested to go on hikes, other cities, explore, cuddle up (asked if I wanted to ofc) and watch movies together. He also said I am his type, also he currently still needs to date around but he wants someone exactly like me. This is what confused me a bit: he did not say it's ME whom he wants, but someone like me. But at the same time, he said he is in better place for relationship now, is tired of sleeping around and wants someone like me. So is this a hint? Or what might be the reason that he is not direct?
I was trying to act friendly, nothing romantic, and also he gave me lots of compliments. So, what could be your advice?
