Would I play a role in his cheating?

So there is this guy… he has a girlfriend. She says she is his girlfriend. His family met her, he introduced her to his family as his girlfriend. He does the same with his friends and other people. But he tells me the girl is not his girlfriend. He says he has a girlfriend but won’t say who it is and says the girl who is obviously his girlfriend is not.

Ugh, I hate situations like this. First of all, that guy is seriously shady for lying to you and his actual girlfriend. Who does that?

From my perspective, I don't think you'd necessarily be playing a role in his cheating directly. He's the one in a committed relationship already and lying about it. However, continuing anything romantic or physical with him knowing he has a girlfriend wouldn't be fair to her either. A few things to consider:

- Talk to the girl he claims is "just a friend" and not his real girlfriend. Compare what he's told you versus her side of the story. Something's definitely off here.

- Ask the guy straight up why he's lying - what's he hiding? Give him a chance to come clean completely. But be prepared to walk away if he keeps lying.

- Don't get more emotionally or physically involved until you have total clarity on the situation. Your feelings will probably get hurt too if you find out he was playing games.

- You seem like you have a good heart for not wanting to be "the other woman." Trust your gut on this - if things still seem suspicious, it's best to remove yourself entirely to avoid drama down the line.

This guy has shown he's untrustworthy already through his lies. Care for yourself first here. I hope you're able to figure out the real story soon! Let me know if you need any other advice.
