I fell in love with somebody and instead of age the barrier was distance. We both were forced to attend different schools that were 1500 miles apart. This was a long time ago and there was no email or video chat. Phone calls were very expensive too.

It was hard to do for the next 3 years and finally we broke up/ It really was because of the distance.

I know a girl who was 19 years old, 3 years younger than me and I was 22 years old. We used to attend the same church when she was 14 years old and I was 17 years old. I liked her and waited till she was a bit older to ask out. But she had started visiting another church for 2 years so the only time was talking on the phone. Though she was always busy which eventually meant she was seeing a older guy (late 20's). The age difference definitely played a huge problem as she looked like a high school student in her 20's. Me being in my mid 20's looked like I was a bit older. If she was 3 years older and looked older it wouldn't have been a problem.
